So how many more kids must die in areas such as Pacoima until there is a change in our gun laws?

We the people of this "so call" community of pacoima should be able to hold our elected officials accountable. this is no longer a "community" its a battle field. We blame the young men (gangsters)but the truth is that we have "NO" leaders, and where there is no leadership, the poeple perish.

Young Victor was not provided the essential opportunity to try to simply live out his life, for that, I place blame to our politicians that took an oath. I did not know Victor, but i'm sure many of us "adults" will have an opinion and probably blame young Victor for either being a gang member or hangin around with them.

The young men and women of our community are no longer "living" life, their "surviving" it. Their dependent on each other themselves (making bad choices)becuase us adults are not teaching them alternatives. we have no big brother programs, or no mentorship programs that work. We simply spent out time analyzing and debat their behavior. may the lord rest your soul young Victor, i'm sure he will take care of you better then we can.

From the lack of comments posted it seems that people just don't care to discuss the isues. Anthony is on to something but I just cant fully accept what he is saying.

It does'nt matter what anyone says Victor was a young 17 year old boy.A father of a baby boy that was born just two days befor his death. Victor won't be the last to die on our streets. We are all just fighting and dieing for a city that will never belong to us. What do we gain by shooting each other. We have to make our jail system harder so these young men don't want to go back.Maybe the death penalty. That might have all of us thinking befor we go out and want to kill.

Victor was my boyfriend my babydaddy what happened to him he didn't deserve. He was not. A Gang member because of the guys stupidity of "trying" to prove themselves to be apart of a gang is so dumb. They didn't know we jus had our son the 16th they had no idea that they took the love of my life away with no hesitation.while they were sentenced the driver getting 21yrs and the shooter only 18yrs is a whole bunch a bs they took an innocents guys life and they get to still wake up each day here and one day get to see light outside if jail. I still don't have my head wrapped around how much of a shitty job they did on finding the guilt in these guys they deserve life if u ask me. They don't know how it feels that every yr goes by my sons birthday passes and jus a few days later I have to relive the lost of my other half my New Years never is the same! I have to explain to my son why his father isn't here for him not no1 else!! It hurts to know that when I miss n wanna see him I have to go to the cemetery and visit him. You have no idea the pain that is left in my heart!! U know how it feels to cry and have your 3 yr old son hug u and say it's goin to be okay, and you think how does he know he is soo little? I think that when situations like this happens the police need to do more research and try more.. Gang violence is something that happens everyday it's hard to get it under control! I jus wanted to state my peace because I live thru this everyday I will never forget getting that call December 19,2009 at 12:07 Sunday:( hope ppl who read this really think and take the time to appreciate the ones h have in your life you never know when they can get taken away... With that being said Rest In Peace Victor I love you babe and I miss you there isn't a day that goes by I do not think of you<3
