Northport considers installing traffic cameras

do it .its pitiful the way some of our fellow citizens drive.they act like there hairs going to catch fire if they they cant pass ever one on the road.

im totally against it. red light cameras only punish the owner of the vehicle regardless of who might be driving. this is not enforcement, its revenue enhancement. if the city is concerned with safety, then all traffic signals should be given a 2 second delay. in other words, when a light changes to red, the opposing traffic signal should not go green for two seconds. that gives time for red light runners to go through the intersection without hitting oncoming traffic.
