Once AGAIN, brainless parents not watching their children. How many times do we hear about this? Too many. I feel sorry for this little girl who has morons for parents. Why do stupid people breed?

Very sad story, I hope the toddler is OK. Fortunately, this sort of thing could never happen in the barn stall my Sticky Angel Wings lives in. She does not need screens to keep the bugs out, she just bats the bugs away with her big bushy tail. My beautiful steed from Tulsa, give me a big "whinney"!

Whe our children were little, we used to open the top part of the window instead of the bottom. Awning and casement windows that were within reach were kept closed. All it takes is one nano-second of inattentiveness for a child to be injured so you need to take all reasonable precautions.

you hear about this all the time....kids push thru window screens!!!!! Then WHY did this family not put guards on their windows when they knew there was children in the apt?
i am sorry to say this but i would charge them with child endangerment. People wake up. protect your kids. You might as well have had an open window. Sorry the baby is hurt..but i would charge the family for neglect. this is how i feel. people start thinking!!!!!!! Never live in a tall building with open windows or screens...kids will fall. it is a fact, we hear about this and yet people still neglect to keep the kids safe. Ask Eric Clapton....i bet he feels bad about his kid falling from a window and is now dead. Shame.Too bad this happened.

Why do they have to be dumb parents? Accidents DO happen. I'm sure you don't watch your kids every single second of every day! Unless you don't even have any kids, in that case you should just shut your mouth.

The baby girl that fell is my niece and she is very much in a loving and caring home! She was not neglected and they are NOT DUMB parents! We thank God that she is not hurt and only has a few scratches and bruises. She definitely had angels with her. Do not judge or assume they are bad parents and neglected their baby...that is far from the truth. We're all only human and accidents happen. We are fortunate that she is home and as healthy and happy as she was before the accident.

How can you sit here and say they aren't dumb parents? Yes, accidents happen, but can you honestly say that no one knew this baby was playing near a window that had nothing but a screen covering it? Come on, when you have a baby/toddler, you have to watch them constantly so accidents like this DON'T happen..you guys are lucky she didn't die. Let this be a lesson to you and your family.

I can sit here and say they aren't dumb parents and that they are loving because I know the parents and I know what happened. You know only what the media has mentioned which wasn't even right. We're not lucky we're blessed and we don't need you to state the obvious or tell us what to take from what happened. No one ever thinks this is going to happen to them and when if sadly it does the last thing they need is people bring more negativity.

I'm glad the baby will be ok!

Just curious....why is a medical helicopter used in a metro area? This is the only city I've lived in where paramedics sit around for a helicopter.

Weird.

That sounds really gross.....dirty, smelly diapers rotting in the trashcan! No way would I allow a fetid diaper sit in a can anywhere--wtf is wrong w/ these filty pigs? If they had taken the sh***y diaper out in the first place, all of this could've been avoided. Watch those ninos & TRY to be cleaner....sheeesh....

The parents of this beautiful baby girl are my cousins. In no way would they harm their child/children. I'm sad to see people bashing other people and not knowing anything about the incident. As a mother of two I KNOW that accidents DO happen. This was an unfortunate accident and by the grace of God Gabby is still with us. Thank you Jesus.

We must be reading different articles. I read nothing in there about dirty diapers or anything else you're eluding to.

It was in the FIRST story previous to this one...this is a follow=up. It said the father opened the window to let in fresh air as the diapers fermenting in the trash was so overwhelming. Then, the kid pushed through the screen.

Ashleigh, Please don't take what this person is staying to heart. Alot of times these kindof people go online and post nasty and hurtful things for a game. Their intentions are to get attention as their life is meaningless and dull.
what happend was an accident!! No parent would ever, ever want to lose a child and the fact that she is okay only proves that God new that her time here on earth does matter and that she needed to live a long and happy life with her mom and dad. Bless your family!
