You're describing yourself. Lots of Christian fanatics oppose stem cell research, which sometimes involves the destruction of embryos, no more than 3 or 4 days old. They stupidly call it abortion, murder, etc. Such research has potential to develop cures for many diseases for real people. The fact is that you deny real people medical cures because you believe that a microscopic clump of cells contains a "soul," which is, of course, make-believe. Once again, religion impedes scientific progress and causes more misery and death.

Christians have been preventing advancements in science and technology since The Dark Ages. Anything they do not agree with is evil, and their imaginary friend will condemn you to hell. Here are some things to consider. Religion breeds hate. Religion prevents technological advances. Religion is a way for people to pretend to be good people. I know there is going to be some hateful comments in response to what I have written and I refuse to be drawn into an internet fight, so this will be my only post on the subject, and they are only my opinions. People do not have to agree with me. Atheist have to make everything so technical because unlike Christians we have to have scientific proof that something exists, unlike Christians that believe whatever a book of fables tell them. I'll let ya in on a little secret, if lie detectors and DNA test where around in the times of Mary and Joseph, Christianity wouldn't even exist. And I find it funny that Christians always claim peace, but they are the first to disrespect and attack other peoples beliefs. I'll let you in a little secret, being a Christian does not make you a good person. You can be a good person and still be Gay or Atheist or whatever you want. There is only one life, and it is peoples choice to live it however they want. Why should every one live in fear of something that has never had one single shred of proof that it even exist. Why should I believe in God. Because you said so. Because you had a feeling at church, or is it because some thousand year old book, written and translated by thousands of different people over time. Until someone can show me scientific proof that there is some bearded man in the clouds then I for one refuse to believe it. That does not make me a bad person and it does not mean that I am going to an imaginary lake of fire to spend eternity. And I have to agree with "g546desghey" Stem Cell research holds the possibility to cure many diseases and birth defects, but Christian people will never let that happen. And as far as Abortion is concerned, I'm sure that Rape victim would just love to have that crack baby, that will remind her of what happened every single day for the rest of their life. Or that baby that was born so mentally handicapped that it can't speak, walk, eat, or enjoy anything, living a life full of pain for the rest of it's short painful life, I'm sure they are so grateful to be alive. Maybe Christians should start paying more attention to their own lives, and the way they live instead of talking Sh*t and condemning others ways of life. If that baby some woman wants to abort turns out to be gay, are you still going to fight for its right.
