It is not the bridges fault these selfish idiots choose this method to end it all. There should be a spiked roof at the bottom of the bridge so these careless fools finish the job and don't hurt any innocent people below.

What's with all the copycatters? Are they getting the idea from the Morning Call constantly publicizing them? And aren't there nicer bridges to jump off with much better views? I mean, the Verazzano is only 90 minutes away and you can see the Statue of Liberty.

i agree that one shouldn't judge anybody for their actions. u never know what turns your life will take and what you'll be capable of. or even a loved one from your family. how can ya be so insensitive and heartless. this was someones loved one. and not everyone who jumps off a bridge is poor, on welfare, or of another race besides white. white ppl be taking that jump too. R.I.P. young lady even tho i didn't know u. my condolences to your fam.

I know this girl personally. She isn't a PR, she didn't do drugs, she wasn't jumping because of a boyfriend or finances. Gee people! This is a tragedy nonetheless. I lived in Allentown my whole life. I've read and heard of people jumping off that bridge. I never thought that someone I personally knew would do this. When someone feels helpless and has no direction it isn't because they are an idiot or a derelict. It's because they can't find a solution to the problem. Let her rest in peace. It's already a horrible way to die. Why make her memory a mockery. RIP Kim Than Thi Nguyen.

What on earth are you talking about. Do you even know what bridge they mean? The trestle, as it is known, is so out of the way, I had never heard it even had a name. It is that a place where is the little lehigh runs peacefully and people have been jumping off of it and swimming around it safely for decades. Some poor woman decided to and her life there, and so you want to rip it down. Fine. You pay for it.

The article is talking about the 8th St. Bridge, not the trestle. You must be drunk or just plain stupid.

why waste the money for a fence? If they can't take the high dive then they'll find another way. Put a sign at the bottom, warning people of the possiblility of a jumper whacking them. If its that much of an issue, kids could wait at the bottom for the next jumper and pick their pockets. It would be easier then rolling someone on Hamilton street.
PLUS
A) they won't put up a fight anymore
B) they no longer have a need for it, so no one will feel guilty of taking it.
C) they weren't carrying that much, so its less of a crime.

Well i went to school with this girl . I knew who she was i don't understand why there are idiots who judge her for what she did.this goes out to whoever talks and judges her, at the end of the day no one knows why she decided to do that no one knows what were her last thoughts so before you go off judging her think about it.
-no one can say anything onto why she did it. she did it and that's it. you don't know everything that was going on with her at the moment or what happen in her past. its life things happen regardless you agree with it or not.
