A friend of mine has now been waiting over six months to get his car repaired after being involved in a three-car wreck in late May of this year. The person driving the car that caused the accident, left the scene and was later issued four moving violations. According to available information, the driver of that car was "driving while revoked" on the day of the accident, had several prior convictions as well as several failure to appear convictions. The insurance company insuring the car she was driving, chose to offer a "LOW BALL" amount to SETTLE the wreck. My friend however obtained written statements from eyewitnesses and sent those to the Wilkes County attorney, William (Bill) Lipscomb so he could SETTLE the issue. My friend has been without his car for OVER six months, and now due to the car not being drivable, has not been able to get his car inspected and the registration has lapsed. My friend had the misfortune of being at the wrong place at the wrong time, and now is being forced to leave his car at a local body shop, unrepaired while the person WITHOUT a license is FREE to drive or do whatever she pleases. Please consider this when shopping for an attorney in the future.
