Lowe's Home Centers, Inc. and Persons Injured At Their Stores

I'm a disabled, service-connected US Army veteran who was injured at a Lowe's Home Centers, Inc. stores while shopping. My sleeve got caught on a metal rack they had sitting close to the edge of the counter. It fell on me and injured me. Lowe's, and it's insurance company, Sedwick CMS aka Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. aka SRS, stated, and I quote: "Our client is truly sorry for the loss sustained. Our investigation of this loss failed to demonstrate any responsibility or negligence on our insured for your incident. Our insured does not carry med pay coverage on the premises. Therefore, liability is denied, we regret that we will not be in a position to make any payments in regards to this matter." Caveat Emptor- things to remember about Lowe's. They don't carry med pay coverage on the premises. They are sorry if you are injured while shopping at their stores, so they are in no position to offer any (compensatory) payments in regards to your sustained injuries. So, don't shop at Lowe's. They weasel out of compensentating you, though they are "truly sorry" that you were injured, because you SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK AT LOWE'S HOME CENTERS, INC.

I was buying pvc pipe at lowes store and ask worker at lowes to cut the pipe for me he said that he was going to lunch and handed me a wood saw to cut it. while trying to cut it I cut my hand. iwent to check out and cashier said your bleeding and called supervisor who cleaned the cut and asked what happen I told him the story and he and I went back to the area to show him the saw that was given to me. supervisor looked around and found proper tool to be used to cut pvc pipe right next to where the saw was.supervisor tried to contact worker but could not. he made a report,how do I follow up on this, [email protected]

I am a US Army veteran hired by Lowe's as an Area PSA wherein I performed resets of both products and displays. Most display sets were annual and most were quite heavy - some 200 pounds plus. After 4 years there I had totally destroyed my rotator cuffs on both shoulders which required a total reverse shoulder replacement surgery, and compressed discs in my back which also led to left leg problems. The VA covered over $300K in doctor and hospital bills. Suing Lowe's in a worker's comp claim for both injuries I had to deal with Lowe's Sedgwick group attorneys. This company is totally for not supporting their employees if an injury occurs.#1 - They did not pay for meds until my attorneys sent them threatening letters, 2- Refused to pay the over $3K in mileage reimbursments, 3- Took more than 3 months to even see a doctor, 4- Refused specialist appointments the primary doctor recommended as needed, and more refusals/denials for needed doctor visits. I have lost over 9 months of work so far and spent thus far over 7 months in physical therapy with several more months to go. I have metal and plastic shoulders now and am about 70% disabled. When we went to mediation to settle the case we were asking for $695,000 in settlement. Lowe's Sedgwick insurance argued and argued, refusing to accept this settlement amount. Asking $695K is a far cry from reality in that I have to live with this the rest of my life when the real value should be a minimum of $1M or more! To make a long story short, Lowe's started out offering only $2500!!! Jerks! The settlement ended with a measly slap in the face to me! Only $40,000! They forced me to sign a slew of documents stating 1- I had to resign and NEVER apply to any Lowe's owned companies again AND never to sue them for any reason, ever! Lowe's are snakes, self-insured to get away with murder. They are the typical corporate entity who cares nothing for their employees. They advertise we hire veterans but yet they'd rather Tax payers cover medical expenses ( using my VA medical coverage) as a cause of employment thru them! They DO NOT support veterans and certainly will screw any of their employees! I was not supposed to tell what the settlement was but you know what? I don't care! Now you know the story of Lowe's and their "love" for their own employees!
