Has anyone had any dealings with Factory Paint in Weymouth? My husband and I found some decorations we fell in love with and wanted to use in the nursery we're setting up for the baby we're expecting. My husband called Factory Paint last Thursday and the woman he spoke to said that the cost of the decorations is $16.99. Based on that information, we drove to the store two days later and placed an order. Two days after that, the same woman who'd quoted my husband $16.99 called me and said that the price of the decorations was actually going to be $24.95 apiece. Since we'd been planning to buy six of these decorations, this was a very significant price difference! My husband called the store again to ask why they'd raise their price nearly $8 in two days and the woman he spoke to said that the price he'd originally been given was really more of an estimate. That is absolutely NOT what had been communicated to him the first time he'd called. He'd been given a firm quote. Even though they acknowledged the inconsistency, no one at the store was willing even to meet us halfway on the price discrepancy, much less to absorb the difference in its entirety, as they should. This refusal to accept responsibility for their mistake has left a very bad impression on me. I wish there was a way to hold Factory Paint accountable for their misquote. Has anyone else had problems with them? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to deal with this?
