Troubles concern us, not just because hardship itself is a burden, but also because affliction can lead to spiritual temptations. We may be tempted to feel that our trials justify committing sin. We may become so discouraged that we blame God for our troubles, lose faith in Him, or begin to doubt His goodness and mercy. As Job's wife said, "Curse God and die" (Job 2:9).

Do not lose faith in God.

Perhaps all of these problems are a wake up call.

I own a piece of property in East Pittsburgh PA which I have been trying to sell. I have tried to almost give it away and I can't. The house is unlivable due to being burglarized but due to the crime in the area I do non want to repair it to have it burglarized again. I received My Borough real estate tax bill yesterday to find that my taxes have tripled since last year. They are taxing at a rate of 15.15 mills on property they assess at $40,300 Which the county only assessed at $25,300. I am on disability and a fixed income, not only that but I think the general public in these economic times should have to endure this kind of taxation. I think it is time for government to look at what they are spending instead of putting the whole burden on the tax payer.
