Mike my kids' high school days are behind them. I'm pretty sure I commended her for doing what she thought was best for her kids. Where did I say Brownstown wasn't a good school?
Since this thread is about "Richey's" Baseball program perhaps someone could tell us how many times Brownstown has beat Seymour in Baseball since Richey has been HC?
Brownstown beat them last year and the year before. Richey isn't the problem with the program. We all know the Hinkles have to go. Richey needs better asst. coaches to help him out. But even with good coaches you have to have the kids. And that's where Seymour is loosing talent to other schools. I personally don't think that should be allowed but what can you do. The wrestling team has about 10 kids. most other schools have around 30-40. That's 10 kids counting 9-12 and to me that's sad. Hopefully someone can look at each sports program and see why or what can be done to get it fixed. My son came home yesterday with 2 of his friends from. I asked who were they he said they live a couple blocks over and go to Columbus East. The one kid is a hell of a ball player.

Richie has yet to lose to Brownstown. The score was 12-2 at Seymour his first year and 5-0 last year at Brownstown. And he is something like 40-17 in his two years as head coach. I think some people are confused on their info.

"Brownstown beat them last year and the year before."

You sure about that?
4-12-12 @ Seymour
Seymour 12
Brownstown 2

4-9-13 @ Brownstown
Seymour 5
Brownstown 0

I think if you take the time to actually look up some of this stuff, you'll find, Ritchey's Baseball team is undefeated against Brownstown. Anyway you slice it the title of this thread is:
Seymour High School Varsity Baseball team coaching sucks
Richey is the head coach, I assume that points towards him and his staff.

"And that's where Seymour is loosing talent to other schools."

I don't disagree. However, it's a far bigger problem than just "the coaches suck". Hang your hat on that and take your kid to Trinity or Brownstown and feel good about beating watered down competition.

As far as the Wrestling team is concerned, Seymour parents raise soft kids. Wrestling is too hard of work for most of them. Hence the high school has low numbers, they sure as hell aren't transferring to Brownstown or Trinity.

Fall sports just ended and most winter sports haven't officially started yet so there are no numbers to count for those sports yet other than none mandatory pre-season workouts.

We all know the baseball program needs a coaching overhaul. Just like the Football program did, basketball will and the wrestling program did. Did I miss any. The Hinkles are horrible coaches and Richy has no clue. If you don't believe me go to the games and watch the stupid decisions they make.

I agree 100% they need replaced. Watch and see Seymour who Seymour will play with their so called opener in spring. They will play a no name school and invite them to their tourney just so they can get a win. They wont play anyone with any talent just like they do every year. Seymour coaching sucks and we all know it.
