Here we go again looks like another loosing year for the baseball program. The coaching is horrible. Last game Seymour had a DH first game was a team from Michigan which didn't matter if we win or loose. Second game was against New Albany who was in our conference. So Richie pitches Zac Brown against the team from Michigan just so a few scouts could watch him. Then we get killed by New Albany. This is the second time he has done this. He thinks its all about 1 kid and not the rest of the team. I know one thing allot of parents are pissed off by the coaching and the favoritisms on this team. Look like we need a coaching change in baseball also/

Or maybe he didn't want New Albany to see Brown, since they could meet in the conference tournament or sectional. You local high school gurus are priceless.

Its probably a good thing they didn't see him. If you watched the game he hit 4 kids threw about 6 wild pitches and a temper tantrum on the mound.

I know one thing if that catcher is out for the rest of the year their in big trouble. That back up catcher cant do the job.

You know it's one thing to bash local high school coaches, it's something entirely different to bash 15-16-17 year old kids. You guys are class acts.

Go to the tribtown website and look at the pictures. Almost all of them are of 1 kid. I believe they have more than 1 player. The coaches are focusing on 1 kid. No wonder why they cant win. Another loosing season because they focus on 1 kid.

I laughed when I read todays sports on the baseball team what Richie said. He said the kid did a good job. How do you hit 3 batters and call that good? Also he didn't mention the wild pitches and walks. He didn't mention his 2 strikeouts. Unreal Richie try paying attention to all the kids instead of just 1. And I agree if that catcher is out they are done.

Leave the kids out of it. I agree though on the coaching part. Cat man you say maybe they didn't want New Albany to see him pitch. First of all I don't believe that. Second I bet he pitches Sat against Jeff.

Marshall:
1. It's CaRtman, there's an "R" As in Eric Cartman. Hard to take you guys serious when elementary level reading and comprehension eludes you.
2. I don't care whether you believe my theory or not. It may not be true, I just threw it out there. I have no insight into what the coaching staff's thought process. I'm reasonably certain however there was a reason for doing what they did. They're coaches, I'm going to trust that they did what they felt like was best for the program.
3. Once again, I have no idea who will pitch against Jeff. How many games do they have this week, how many pitchers will they have to use in those games, how many pitches will it take to get through those games, who's up in the rotation????? I don't have any of those answers, therefore I'm not going to take a guess.

You people posting in this thread are the biggest problem with Seymour's athletic program. You're either people who are pissed off because Bowman was fired, you're pissed off because "your" guy wasn't hired, or your pissed off because junior isn't playing where/when you think he should. Are you guys at practice everyday? Do you know what goes on at practice? Do you have any insight into the inner workings of the team? If you don't know those things perhaps you should just keep your mouth shut because you really don't know what you're talking about.

Who knows what their doing. But I do know what your record is during regular season conference games counts as how you seed come conference time. So Im not sure why they didn't pitch him. I know we have about 8 pitchers that could of pitched against Clarksville and the Michigan team. But who knows what their thinking. Maybe they have a plan. What happened to the catcher anyway? Is he out for all year?

Loyd, the HHC Tournament is not seeded. It's a blind draw. They already know who they're playing.

I agree the coaching sucks. My nephew plays on that team and hes a good ball player. He said all their worried about is 1 kid. And that 1 kid can do no wrong. I hope they get rid of the Hinkles next year.

The varsity catcher is out for the rest of the year from what I hear. Now I know they are in trouble!

The catcher isn't out for the season. he will be back in a week or 2. And to call it a loosing season this early with only 2 losses is ridiculous. You must not of coached baseball before Larry. A lot of times a coach will pitch a kid like Zach against teams like Clarksville just to fine tune him and get him ready for sectionals. Especially this early in the year. If you pitch him against Jeff people will bitch. If you don't they will bitch. I been coaching baseball for a long time and people will bitch no matter what you do. But to call it a loosing season this early is hardly even close. Unless your helping coach don't open your mouth.

They have been worried about his for several seasons now. He got the inside track from them since they noticed his talent. That is great for him, but putting him in the optimal positions in the field and at the plate end up making the team aspect does suffer slightly. I don't see this as reason enough to dump the coaches but they are selling the performance and development of the team short by spending to much time making one individual the first thought when deciding what to do with the team.

Looks like seymour need to be recruiting some of Brownstowns talented coaches that coach all the way down to the young kids leagues over there; confident, knowledgable and professionalism is something I notice when I see Brownstown around at all star tournaments.
