Yes, I think you are correct there. Personally I speculate as to the degree of T.B.C.U. (Total Brain Capacity Utilization) also when considering precognition. I.e., those who use more than the average cumulative total of their overall brain capacity are more apt to find themselves capable of higher motor and mental functioning. But, that is just another theory.

Well, street lights are often on both timers and temperature safe gauges. They come on and go off at certain times, and if they get too hot while they are on, they will kick off for a bit to cool down.
They are on light sensitive relays!

I'm inclined to believe timers friend, otherwise they wouldn't come on at about the same time different nights

hillbilly bob- yes, thats the subject at hand, and thank you for that lovely tid-bit of info!

My street light goes on and off for no apparent reason. Light sensitive relays should react to light correct??? While the light does come on at dusk, and then goes off at dawn, this would not account for the seemingly randomness throughout the night...

If I walk by it at night it does not come on..throughout the night it actually kind of flickers, so I believe the temperature gauge idea is out....

I have actually timed the light on and off, with no apparent patterns of time or movement...

Any additional suggestions???

Friend, I have taken it upon myself to research this for you, and can give you multiple reasons as to the nature of streetlights and their varied output mannerisms. The answer you are wanting me to give however, I know, is one that speculates the existence of, and your potential involvement with STI; or Street Light Interference Phenomenon- yes it is a real study, look it up. It suggests, but cannot scientifically prove that some people for one reason or another may actually interfere with streetlights when in close proximity to them. It does not however explain why these people don't seem to have the same effect on motion activated lights or common lamps, nor why they can't reproduce the effects when under observation.

A more formidable explanation for some lies within the elements of a sodium light itself. When a sodium light nears the end of its lifecycle it tends to need more voltage to keep it going, thus causing it to overheat rather quickly and shut itself off until such time that it can cool- which also helps explain why those lights don't always go completely off immediately but go from extremely bright orange lights to a very dull and dim white or blue glow within the bulb.

One more theory I will put forth right now involves light sensors. Some lights rather than just a temperature gauge or a timer have a light sensor- some may have two or perhaps even all three, and depending on the location of these lights they can be their own object of confusion. When a bright light hits the sensor on these streetlights they think it is daylight and shut off, then the sensor realizes how dark it is and turns it back on. This can be brought on by lights that are situated near a reflective surface such as marble, or windows which send the light they shed back into their sensors, causing them to shut off, then in the abscence of said light they come back on. This cycle usually occurs within a two or three minute relay.

There are three more theories for you to think on Z.M., have a good one.
