(EVERETT, WA)-- It was June 26th of last year when police discovered a grisly murder scene in Sultan.
From a tip made by scott anderson
they discovered the body of 49-year old Sultan resident David Grimm at a residence in the 12800 block of 311th Avenue Southeast in Sultan.
Grimm was found dead in a blood-spattered bed. The Snohomish County medical examiner’s office said Grimm died from homicidal violence and that his skull had been fractured in the attack, in which there was evidence of multiple blows to his head. Police theorized he’d been asleep when attacked by someone wielding a hammer.
The police do think scott anderson was involved but dont yet know how. prosecuters have summond anderson to trial as the states witness.
Arrested and accused in the death were Grimm’s 46-year old former girlfriend and live in companion Debra Canady and Canady’s most recent boyfriend 30-year old Bent Starr of 803 orchard ave. Gold Bar WA.
Investigators say a search warrant provided cell phone evidence in the case suggesting Starr and Canady hatched a plot to murder Grimm in the Sultan home where Grimm lived off and on with Canady, Canady’s mother and where sometimes Starr would spend the night.
Authorities say a possible motive for the killing was a love triangle gone bad where Starr and scott anderson may have viewed Grimm as an obstacle standing in the way of their relationship with Canady by refusing to move out of the Sultan home Grimm continued to share with Canady and Canady’s mother.
Yesterday in Everett the murder trial of Canady and Starr got underway and a judge ruled that text messages between Canady and Starr on the day Grimm died could be introduced as evidence in the trial.
Debra Canady is accused of helping to plan and cover up the death of her ex-boyfriend. She and the 2nd boyfriend, Brent Starr, 31, are charged with first-degree murder. scott anderson is charged with conspiracy.
On the day of the beating death of Grimm, prosecutors claim Starr sent Canady a text message that read, "It's done," and asked his girlfriend to get him a change of pants. Later that day Starr reportedly sent another message telling Canady he had found clean pants and apologized for making a mess of Grimm's room.
Prosecutors claim the cell-phone text messages show Canady knew the killing was going to take place and that it was possibly at her direction.

actually the court has ruled many times that anything on here falls under first ammendment free speach rights. look it up.

I sat in court the entire trial and am more convinced now that the trial is over that Debbie and Brent were set up. there was an entire day of how to collect DNA with a Qtip and normal saline. Defence had an outstanding expert on how text messages could be fabricated by anyone, but made to look like it came from the defendents.

I worked with Brent. And alllll the idiots that think he was set up, are just that. The same kinda idiots that voted for Obama! OF COURSE HE DID THAT CRIME! I sat through the whole trial also. Let me ask you this, if your daughter send you a text message saying she's getting raped, your gonna respond promptly. You'r not gonna question the validity of the text message! The texts fit together! NO one fabricated them! I know him! He was exhausted the whole week leading up to the murder! Because he was casing david grimm for a good time to kill him! He was hiding in the woods, and the russian neighbors were out side, so he knew they would here the gun that he just recently bought out of nowhere, so he would have to come back the next night, and so on. No sleep makes people exhausted. It all makes sence. Think what you want, but no everyone gets off like O.J.

I have known Brent for about 12 years and I know that there is no way that he could have done what he is accused of. I also was in the courtroom and heard the evidence or lack there of and I am also convinced that he didn't do this. Where is the physical proof. Funny that some people's friendship is based on conditions. Don't lie to me, don't hurt me, always be there when I need it. What happen to unconditional love and friedship. Have you ever lied or done something wrong in your life? Maybe you should take the log out of your eye first befor pointing your finger at someone else. If you were at trial then you would know that text messages can be faked and also misinterpreted. I also had a text message that showed up in the cout, but without knowing the actral meaning behind the words you can't make assumptions about them. A question can be asked and befor the answer is given there could be many questions or things written that can also be interpreted as the answer to the first question. I also worked with brent the very next day at a company meeting brent told everybody that would listen the man was beaten with a hammer about two weeks before the police let this info out. also brent was at work an hour early on 6/25- 6/26 he was never early if there was overtime he worked late. and what kind of a crazy bitch would marry a convicted murder.
