Wow!

I surprised Obama didn't step in first and give that bear a driver's license,'free' healthcare, and a year's worth of unemployment benefits.

Oh, that's right -- he was too busy getting bitchslapped by Netanyahu today.

For some reason they kill a bear that was not showing any agressive tendencies, but yet we have coyotes attacking people's pets in the 494/694 loop and the DNR says they can't do anything. Probably they got rid of the bear because it moves nice and slow, the DNR doesn't need work up a sweat.
Hit a coyote with a car and then hit a bear, see what happens. You'll hopefully see that a 200 pound bear is a mishap waiting to happen.

Obama ordered the killing of the bear. The gov't has been tracking the bear for nearly 10 years, utilizing highly sophisticated bear tracking equipment and satellite imagery along with the highly secretive bear spy tracking network (BSTN). At long last they govít accomplished their mission. Unfortunately the facts surrounding the bear execution have become murky...we first were led to believe there was a bear "shootout" with the DNR encountering stiff resistance. Also there were reports of the bear's wife attacking the DNR agent. Later we were told that the bear "just stood there" like a bear in the headlights as he was executed.

The cash that was found hidden in the bear's fur was donated to the state to help balance the budget.

Everybody loves wildlife, as long as it's on the Discovery Channel and not in their backyard.

The coyotes are in the Metro area because you lamebrains love the wolves so much. \The coyotes have to live in the cities or be eaten by the wolves. Let's start shooting the wolves that are chasing dogs and farm animals in Northern Minnesota.

i think the real issue here is that North St Paul police tracked this bear, and when it crossed the magic county/city line, they no longer felt compelled to protect the community? did they just drive away? It was another 30 minutes or so before another citizen called to report the bear was bugging her dog. i am so glad we have such conscientious law enforcement.

I saw what tendencies it showed. It was on TV. The bear was running like hell trying to get away from them.
