Why call it a "tough intersection?" It sounds like some people have a "tough time" interpreting traffic signals. The 19-year-old man killed at that intersection last October was ALSO crossing against a red stoplight.

It is always tragic when a young person dies, it is more tragic when so easily preventable, and triply tragic when an infant is forever deprived of that parent's love and contribution.

I hope the baby's father is "in the picture," and ready to step up to the plate, so to speak.

And was drinking, tried to run to beat the car coming. But they are calling her a hero. If it was a man he would be fertilizer for public garden project.

Wiger should have had the bridge built N and S, not E and W.

Now 2 dead and rising. Penalty for Wiger is to have him and his family walk across Hwy 36 500 times.

YA, BUT YA HAVE TO LOVE THOSE DARN BIKES!!

It makes no sense to blame anyone for these tragedies except those directly involved -- attempting to cross a HIGHWAY, against a RED light, where the vehicles have the right-of-way.
Besides, many would rather cross at ground-level, rather than use a pedestrian bridge. Remember the fuss about the traffic light by the Little Earth development on Cedar Avenue in Minneapolis? It stands in the shadow of a $450,000 (in 1960s dollars) pedestrian bridge. The stoplight went in after people were injured attempting to cross a very busy Cedar Avenue -- ignoring the pedestrian bridge.
When someone's judgment is so severely impaired by alcohol that they play dodge-em with 50-MPH traffic WITH THEIR BABY IN A STROLLER, I wouldn't make any bets that they would possess the good judgment to use a bridge. Don't blame Wiger!

Sooooo... At night, insane busy intersection, pushing a stroller while under the influnece and trying to beat the car against the DO NOT WALK lights adds up to the FATHER FAULT? Ah...

She is dead because STUPID people die quicker--It's her fault, I blame her.

Now that must make sense even to you.

Double sigh. Why are you blaming her in this post, while blaming Wiger in your earlier post? Why should Wiger and his family have to cross Hwy.36 500 times -- if it is HER fault?

Maybe YOU should put away the bottle!

It's called connect the stupid dots. Everyone knows that there is plenty of blame to go around. 6 degrees of seperation with wiger etc.

If it were the father would you be so eager to take up a defense in a non-defendable position? Doubt it. Your a voyeur right? Queer? Like someone who likes seeing dead people? Car accidents? I know don't fret loser.

People make stupid choices, sometimes they pay for it with their life. Happens every second. You made stupid choices like being a fag and ass. Don't stop thinking on my account, you might get it one day. Or not.

Sorry goofball, don't drink, never have. Why is that always the fools retort?
