And the good, they die young. Here's to the memory of a man who cared, and here's hoping the cowards who killed him fathered no children.

I also worked with Joe years ago and can vouch that all the good things being said about him are true. What a horrible loss of not only a cop but a truly great person.

LMFAO!!! No sympathy here, karma's a b****. I find it disgusting that the cops were rolling around in APC's with machine guns donning military fatigues. Until the militarization of our police ends and they are held accountable for their vile crimes I will continue to feel indifference when one is killed. Oh well, at least no innocent civilians were killed. And I'm sure he was just an amazingly unique and wonderful human being, we all know how friendly cops are. As if they wouldn't say that about any oinker killed. You live by the sword, you die by the sword. You go around abusing people your whole life and this is what happens. Haha, good riddance.

You're a real piece of work. Are the cops on your trail because you "love" kids? You suck, maggot.

Read this editorial, it gives you a good idea of why there's so much resentment towards police among the young and culturally diverse. Basically our police have become completely militarized. SWAT teams are used frequently and unnecessarily serving low level possession drug warrants, often resulting in death or injury to the homeowner as well as the vicious murder of their dogs. Cops are basically sadists and adrenaline junkies who get their kicks terrorizing and brutalizing the weak. They are monsters. Until they are put back under control and used within a constitutional context many will continue to despise them. I can't say I'm necessarily happy it was killed, because it did have children. But it made the choice of that career, and it chose to violate people's rights. Essentially it had it coming.

Few thing burn more in memory than the names and circumstances around police murder. It is a sad day and notable when people die on the line of duty. These people protect us from true evil in the world and deserve the highest amount of respect and thanks.

You no what burns in my mind? When I see paramilitary commandos rampaging through an American city like the cops did today. It also burns in my mind when they gun down an innocent civilian in the back or taze an elderly woman. And I don't think police deserve any respect since they commit terrible atrocities against innocent people every day. Teachers, firemen, EMT's and doctors deserve respect and thanks, not adrenaline junkie maniacs who would as soon shoot a citizen as help them. Good riddance, the streets are now a little safer with these two criminals and the cop off the street, they are both equally reprehensible and worthy of termination.

You call this propaganda an "editorial?" I'm most concerned that this hate
website has a picture of Rep Ron Paul on it. Does Ron Paul think "Cops are basically sadists and adrenaline junkies who get their kicks terrorizing and brutalizing the weak. They are monsters." If so, I won't be listening to anything he says from now on.
http://truthalert.net/#Welcome%20to%20Truth%2...

"Truth Alert"- your Bible, is the worst kind of bigotry, judging by your virulent hatred for the Police. You pretend to be patriots but say this- "There is more to good citizenship than mindless, flag-waving cheerleading. The true patriot does more than recite slogans like,“Support the troops.”
There is more- voting in elections, teaching our children respect for law enforcement as well as flag-waving and supporting our troops. Apparently killing a good, hardworking cop is also patriotic to you.

And more from your "Truth Alert"- "Our political leaders are taking us down the road to totalitarianism and authoritarianism. The police state is a manifestation of coming calamities."
You are seriously deluded if you think our local Police enforce totalitarianism.
They know more about the US Constitution than you ever will. They apply the Constitution on a daily basis to defend our freedom and liberty. Sgt Bergeron was defending your Constitutional rights, moron, not destroying them.

You picked a bad time and the wrong place to spew your hatred for law enforcement. And seeing Ron Paul's picture on your hate website is also very disturbing.

RIP Sgt Bergeron. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Look like its time for all the haters to head to mommy's basement and act brave. I hope that the murderers and rapists you support will swing by your homes for a long visit. God bless the memory of Sgt. Bergeron!

You the same guy in Eau Claire who hides from the Sheriff to avoid paying child support?
