If you were smarter than a 5th grader DALE, those dollars ARE tax dollars which were raised 10 years ago.

Here we go again. SAVE THOUSANDS for food and clothing which is going UP an UP.

SAY NO! SAY NO! to teh massive teachers union who stuck to theirguns and madw ZERO pay and salary consessions as well as other andministrators and principles who make GIGANTIC salaries and perks.

This supposedly representa a 9% GAP. Why did they not budget the LEVY out over the next 10 YEARS?

Because they have a DEATH GRIP on your wallet.

Government never returns money or thinks of zeroing out there spending entirely.

They treat the budget and levies like the are completely different, but in fact, THEY ARE THE SAME.

The money goes in the bank and mixes with the rest of the loot.

How stupid do you think we are?

In OCTOBER I will take out a full page add in the REVIEW (that is unless they protest) to inform the public that this is another tax grab and not to listen to BABY KILLING rhetoric if it fails.

Board memebers should resign. My sourch from the school board says there is great consternation about this levy attempt failing.

But they are putting their good game face on. This is Minnesota progressive liberalism plowing foward.

Anyone else out there seeing the cost of ALL things going through the roof?

I would like to keep all that money for my family thank you and you should learn to live within your means and stop spending like drunken sailors.

All those cuts you made so far are not enough in these tough times.

Watch the approach that the school district will take, little more than emotional blackmail. I guarantee some one will say, "it will hurt the kids".

There is so much self serving, special interest graft in this district, you could carve out 10 Mill in second.

Not even a black eyes. Just get to work, stop teaching nonsense, stick to the basics and stop paying principles and directors wages higher than most corporate executives.

Just get a copy of one the elementary school principles contract and you will FALL OVER.

Al Capone would blush.

Lets tear down some older schools and build some nice TEACHER cushy ones with all the trimmings.

YES WE CAN! It's about the kids right? If the teachers are taken care off then they will be happy. Happy teacher make for happy students.

I read that in the TEACHERS MANIFESTO.

Abolish the FEDERAL department of education and do away with collective bargaining for teachers.

learn to do without extra placing more burden on taxpayers who are already at a breaking point with higher food costs, higher energy costs, gas costs and diminishing pay increases and cost of living.

Send a message to the school board that this is not 1950,1960,1970 and that the new world order THEY (liberals) created can not be sustained any longer and that they need reign in spending and stop the Union Graft, political extortion by a in-the-pocket legislature and their influence bill pandering.

Cut gigantic salaries for principles and arbitrary created program managers and bureaucrats.

Stop lavishly spend money on things to comfort themselves; surround themselves with new this and that, new perks, trips, seminars, days off every week or two.

GET BACK TO THE BUSINESS OF TEACHING

European banks which collectively are as large as all the US banks are now in financial trouble and some are on the verge of insolvency because of TROUBLED ASSETS!!

Sound familiar? With Europe's flailing banks, a never ending war in the middle easy causing out of control oil speculation stocks slide for 4 weeks straight, with all indicators leading to another recession.

1/4 off all profits from US companies come from Europe and with slower economic news there, that sends another chill across stocks for those companies on Wall street.

The dominions and the stars are lining up. Jobs at staggering high percentages, the federal reserve is at it's end, what's next?

Well, OBAMA after 3 years in office finally comes up with a JOBS PLAN! OH, OH! This should send every concerned investor running for cash and gold.

How much can we pawn America for folks?

When will you people get off your collective butts and stop this madness.

The President is clueless and liberals in Washington have destroyed the economy. Even minorities are seeing unemployment at numbers never seen before. There is NO HOPE AND CHANGE, just despair, pain and destruction.

THINK ABOUT ALL THIS WHEN YOU VOTE AWAY $100 dollars a month for a begging school district who can't stop spending and you can't afford FOOD AND GAS anymore.

This president was deluded when he came in and he is deluded now. FAILURE after TRILLION DOLLAR failure.

Maybe while he vacation at Martha's Vineyard for the next 10 days he will come up with THAT PLAN of all plans.

After 10,000 unmitigated lies, falsehoods, misdirection and political pandering run a muck..I DOUBT IT any real anything will come from this plan except more INVESTMENTS (spending) and smoke and smoke & mirror gimmicks to try to get him though the next election.

One thing is clear. There is NO HOPE, there has been change and it's killing us.

Go ahead and believe the lies, throw your money away, then what will be left, nothing, because you and your liberal ding dong friends spent America away like a bad binder and your children's future is gone.

KEEP CHANTING YES WE CAN! PONY UP THE LEVY AND PUT YOU HEAD BACK IN THE HOLE.

He is the drag on this states education system extraordinaire and our local School District.

As long as he is allowed to even think, he is dangerous and a disaster for any kid who wants or thinks he wants to have a job in the future.

His answer is SPEND, SPEND and more spending. The money goes right into the pockets of BIG UNION BOSSES called the TEACHERS UNION, who only cares about ONE THING. NO, NO. not your children's education, no sir.

His sole purpose is to GROW THE UNION. HIS COMPANY invests money for big unions, that's why he does not take PAC money anymore, as if that makes his hands clean.

Wiger is a despicable ex hippie cretin with NO TALENT and the worst Legislator.

The only reason he get voted in, is that his district are VASTLY poor, welfare recipients and more union workers...That's it.

He is a giant FRAUD and Burdon on all FREEDOM LOVING taxpayers in MN.

As long as you keep voting for REEEEEtards like him, most of you young people should forget college and move to a country that is more free than this one, like Russia. Huh? Well that is just plain wrong your thinking. NOT!

You are losing your freedom every second of every day and you are too wound up in yourself to see it.

I see the truth, that's were I succeed and you will fail.

The Parasites Are Lurching for our Jugulars Again - Vote Down Levies on November 6 to Keep Your Money

parasite, n. 1. an organism that lives on an organism of another species, known as the host, from the body of which it obtains nutrients. 2. a person who receives support, advantage, or the like, from another or others without giving useful or proper return.

levy, n. 1. money collected by authority or force

Do you want to keep your own money, or do you want others decide for you where your money should go? If you don't vote, what right do you have to complain when you discover that your paycheck keeps getting smaller and smaller every election cycle? If you want to keep more of your own money, then vote! As a matter of fact, if you want to keep more of your own money, then get several of your friends and family to the polls, and tell them to vote down the levies to keep more of their own money too! Those who benefit from the levies are sure to vote - they're voting themselves your money. For levies to succeed, they must exploit the apathy of the ordinary voter. If you care about your own wealth and the wealth of your children and grandchildren, then SAY NO to the tax levy November 8 that should grab your attention.

Our district is having tremendous financial difficulties with a high home foreclosure and bankruptcy rates, high poverty statistics, the loss of businesses overseas or to other states, and one of the highest state and local tax systems in the nation

The ever-increasing number of parasites who want to exploit our wealth and property is one of the main reasons for our financial crises. Voters must not be apathetic about the steady loss of their income to the beneficiaries of all the state and local taxes and levies. If the levy proponents want our money, they should provide a competitively priced service or product and ask us by input not by a few wanna-be NEROS.

The last levy attmept that was NOT APROVED lost by narrow margins.

I am wondering why those people that voted YES for the last TAX HIKE did not VOLUNTARILY send in the extra 50+ dollars a month anyway.

So it's NOT important for the children if it is voted down, right?

If you people who have CHILDREN in the school are not on welfare, are not renters, don't pay any real taxes because your poor, please feel free to donate the money.

The school takes donations all the time. Why not do it? Do you see the problem with your reasoning?

You want it for your own selfish reasons and want others FORCED TO GO ALONG WITH IT. So very liberal.

We already pay taxes for kids to go to school, hundreds of millions stated wide. Apparently not enough.

Any extra money needed should not be bore by people who have no vested interest in the schools, like seniors on fixed incomes or those who have no children, etc.

If you FEEL SO MORAL and UPRIGHT, DONATE THE MONEY.

All you people who love renewing TAX LEVYS could start right now and donate, lets say 10% of your income rather than to the church and those kids will get SMARTER FASTER quicker and will grow up and beat the 50 odd countries that rank higher than us.

Don't wait, you know it is the RIGHT thing to do...

So if it gets voted down, what will you do with all that extra money?

Buy GAS? FOOD? Go on a vacation? what? You people kill me.....

YOU CAN THANK YOUR BOOZE ADDLED BRAIN MARK DAYTON, WIGER AND LILIE.

WHOOPS! The devil is in the details.

ST. PAUL, Minn.- While Minnesotans were fixing their eyes on the three-week government shutdown, they may have missed a detail in the compromise that ended it.

The Homestead Market Value Credit - a $261 million pile of money set aside each year for property tax relief - is gone.

If, for instance, your city has a lot of offices and large businesses - as a homeowner you'll get a break. In cities like Minneapolis and Bloomington, property taxes can be shifted to apartment houses,

office towers and factories, off-setting homes.

On the other hand, if you live in communities like Crystal or Robbinsdale, North St. Paul - cities with modestly valued homes but few large businesses - you are not in as good a place.

"Basically there's no other property that will absorb the taxes that will otherwise be paid by those homeowners and that tax burden is going to fall right back on homeowners in those bedroom communities," said Gary Carlson, director of intergovernmental relations for the League of Minnesota Cities.

How can you assume that? show me some statistics. Just call the school district and ask before assuming.

How many students are going to private school and home school to juxtapose your theory? Whoops!

Get back to us with the numbers, just call, it's public information.

That seems sort of selfish are you a Democrat? If so, that would be hypocritical of you to not to share the wealth you are alluding to, right?

Just the facts...

THERE ARE NO JOBS, AND PEOPLE ARE SPLITTING NICKLES while the teachers union in Minnesota racked in roughly 50 million dollars in dues. Teachers did not take any cuts in the last budget process and there has been plenty of building and a new bus garage where the district had a couple million laying around.

Itís easy to say to those opposing the tax increase that they should consider not eating at a restaurant, stop smoking, stop buying lottery tickets (which actually benefits the schools), or stop patronizing the coffee shops in order to pay higher property taxes.

But what are people who donít indulge in those ďluxuriesď supposed to do ó not get their prescriptions filled, not pay their gas bills this winter, or not pay their health insurance, automobile insurance, or homeowners insurance so they can afford to pay higher property taxes?

How about asking the seniors who are living on a fixed income to go back to work part-time so they can afford to pay higher property taxes? What about all of those people who live in apartments in North St.Paul, Maplewood, and Oakdale and donít own a home? How are they supporting the schools?

Every child deserves the benefit of a good education; the question is how to pay for it without increasing property taxes. Maybe parents of school children should pay tuition like those with children in private schools who pay tuition and property taxes.

Itís time that school administrators, teachers, and parents stop accusing voters of not caring enough to pass the school levy and start pressuring our elected representatives in Saint Paul to find a solution to this problem re-occurring problem.

For people who are unemployed or retired with a limited income, itís not just a matter of choosing to vote no on the proposed property school tax levy increase. With an added monthly rubbish collection fee and the cost of utilities, health insurance, and food going up, most people have no choice but to vote against the school levy.

No matter how many times itís put on the ballot or how much money the school district spends trying to convince voters itís the right thing to do, itís obvious most voters just canít afford to pass a tax increase in this economy.
