People keep bringing up government workers and government jobs - are we supposed to outsource those too? Then there wouldn't be anyone to pay taxes. State and Federal revenue is down as much because of loss of jobs and cuts in pay, to make the wealthy wealthier, than anything else. Then they stand there the only ones with money and they don't want to make up for the tax income lost through their actions. Plus, all those people who have lost their jobs need government services they didn't need before.

Sigh. The numbers are way off. If you factor in the money spent on drugs, Minneapolis residents spent nearly 90% more than Saint Paul residents.

The facts, ma'am, just the facts.

You mean because Minneapolis actually arrests dealers? There are plenty of drugs in St. Paul. Actually I wouldn't doubt that these days there are More dealers in the first tier suburbs.

Absolutely. I buy my drugs from Jerry Koenig near St. Anthony Main, as many affluent Saint Paulites do.

Not a surprise. There are more dems in St Paul and dems tend to love spending, even if they don't have the money to do it. When their credit cards are maxed out, they will blame the credit card companies and demand more government regulation. They will also demand that the rich get taxed more to help them get what they want. Now that Obama is in office, the american people are finally catching on to these facts that I just pointed out.
"You got that right Margie". Much of St Paul is govt employees, and the other part is made up of lawyers, and those on govt programs. Were WIC cards counted? Govt employees are paid with taxes, so they spend tax money and their merchandise is taxed, and that tax is paid with tax money they were paid. The only govt employees we need are police, fire, road workers and any other essential public safety officers. The rest are just fluff, hired to make us pay, and to stand in line to do it. Fluff, that's what St Paul is.

<quoted text>Your location lists you as being from Chicago. How do Minnesota politicians increase your property taxes in Chicago?
Coming soon to you,'the do da train' to carry in comfort the many Chicago women who use their relatives addresses here to register for welfare. They come up here the first of every month to get a check, then around the 5th to 10th they go back to Chi town to cash the smaller one they get from bammers friends. Check the bus stations, downtown mpls, and Rice and Diversity ave. Also, the Wi state patrol will probably show an increase in Illinois tickets, seeing as laws dont apply to those on the dole.

Why would a person in St paul eat in Mpls? We've got plenty of our own great places to go to.

Hey, I am smart enough to stay away from Mpls. and do my shopping in St. Paul or in the much safer burbs. And given your name, I think I will stay away from you, too. By the way, what part of Mpls. isn't "crime ridden"?

as a former St. Paul resident I have to say why is this of any significant importance, instead we should look at how the bussiness of each city fared.
