Finneran told the jury that although Jones was not Rhania's biological father, he still loved the child, and when she died, he "lost a daughter and he lost a family."

Really. He "loved" a nine WEEK old baby that was not his own.

Actually, it is the mothers fault for allow such scum around her child.

...and another criminal is freed as well...perfect DFL ending!

I'm not saying anything to defend this man, but I can tell you it is possible to love a child that is not your own, regardless of its age.

Too bad a jury of "your peers" can be filled with people who can be easily convinced to believe nonsense. Some of 'em just aren't that bright.

So i'm confused, did he just make up the story of the baby falling off the couch? I had read in previous stories that he changed his version of what happened several times, why change it if there's only one truth?
Unbelievable. I agree, he'll be in trouble again shortly..........

He is not off the hook yet, they can still bring him to trial again. They can retry the case with another jury.

Here we go again! Mama goes to work while boyfriend (not the childs father) is babysitting. Child is abused or dies while in his care. Why isn't the boyfriend working? Probably another dumb white girl working on another baby with this idiot. But he looooovvvvveeeddd the baby. Keep up the good parenting!

Beyond a reasonable doubt:
"The standard that must be met by the prosecution's evidence in a criminal prosecution: that no other logical explanation can be derived from the facts except that the defendant committed the crime, thereby overcoming the presumption that a person is innocent until proven guilty."
http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com...

how can it be so clear to you that the defendant is guilty, when the jury could not reach that conclusion?

Because we know about his prior violent criminal charges, the jury could not!

It's not juries it's LAWYERS who win or lose a case.

The Judge is a lawyer, the defense is lawyer, the prosecutor is a lawyer. I think that is what they call a pattern.

I would not be to hard on the jury. They typically do a good job when called to duty.

They can re-do it if they want to spend the money.

Good luck with that, the STATE IS BROKE.

Turn you anger towards firing every single incumbent politician this NOVEMBER.

Wipe the slate clean and demand that every level of government clean up their act.

If we keep going like this you will not need to worry about events like this. Because there will be no such thing as justice, freedom or liberty. There will only be the MACHINE ordering you what to do and you JUMPING.

It's your country, your life. What are you going to do about? Do the right thing and vote.

This is the only power you have anymore.
