Its called a representative government. They dont need to have a vote every time they want to do something.

They represent us - they aren't supposed to avoid us or hide from us. And when it comes to spending an additional $18.5 million dollars of our tax dollars on a project that will need additional money to subsidize it -for years to come - we better get a vote on it.
Now back on point. Read the e-mails that Wally Wysopal sent & recieved regarding keeping Polarnet "under the radar". They are in the Freedom Foundation of Minnesota report as well as dug up by KSTP news and can be downloaded from their site.

Adam,

We vote for our Representatives in a representative government. We did not vote for the position of City Manager...

Why does North St. Paul believe that it needs to install a fiber optic network for it's citizens when there are plenty of private sector businesses that are willing to do it on their own dime? Verizon, AT&T, Comcast. Or satellite providers like DISH Network & DIRECTV/

Leaves the city w/ money for things it should be doing - better - like road repair & snow removal.
