Current discussions are under way at the legislature regarding elimination of Minnesota corporate income taxes. Even the DFL are talking about it.

States have become very competative in the attraction of jobs by reducing taxes and offerring massive tax breaks for large plant construction.

Minnesota is at a competative disadvantage because:

1) Highly trained BUT expensive labor.
2) Superior benefits for those refusing to work.
3) Minnesota nice mentality.
4) Weather extreems that quicken infrastructure decay.
5) Government insistant on wasting BILLIONS on rail.
6) Freeways that are 1/2 century old, 50 years.
7) Government insistant on wasting MILLIONS on unused bike paths.
8) Government operating like Socialist countries.
9) Most highway dollars going outstate.

Sec. 10. UNREASONABLE SEARCHES AND SEIZURES PROHIBITED. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated; and no warrant shall issue but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched and the person or things to be seized.

Does North Saint Paul violate the bill of rights when they search private property using Code Enforcement, meter readers, utility workers, other City employees to collect information on residents?

Google is now going to partner with some cities nationwide to install fiber networks.

This sure is a better deal for taxpayers than having the taxpayers pay for the network AND run the risk of it going broke!

GO GOOGLE!!!!

STOP POLARNET!!!

North Saint Paul voters declined the installation of a new broadband offerring "PolarNet".

The vote was 2-1 and Google understands the residents are quite happy with the current internet offerings: DSL, Comcast and dialup.

IF Google installed another broadband offering it would be a duplicate of the other offerrings and IF North Saint Paul can get Google to install it then the city will want to ultimitly control it.

The questions then become when will the city run the other internet offerrings out of town like they did with the trash haulers?

Do you want the city of North Saint Paul to know who you call, what you say?

Do you want the city of North Saint Paul to know what TV programs you watch? When you watch them?

Do you want the city of North Saint Paul to know what you email, whom you email to, what WEB sites you visit?

$$$$ Do you want the city of North Saint Paul to be able to raise the price on TV, Internet, telephone whenever they want?

You saw them raise ALL "Enterprise" services 4% earlier this year AND they raised property taxes 12%.

Is this runaway government?

I think so!

Lillie news reports there is a new wireless broadband offerred by a Minnesota Company. The new wireless offerring is perfect for the mobile users of 2010. AND very fast competative with the fastest current offerrings FIBER!

Remember back when North Saint Paul was twisting the arms of residents to approve PolarNet?

Remember?

Remember North Saint Paul was saying PolarNet was going to be the BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD?

Remember North Saint Paul claimed fiberoptic was the THING OF THE FUTURE!

Well Polars the future is here and it's NOT FIBER!!

Arn't you glad PolarNet wasn't voted in and we didn't spend $34,000,000 (thirty four million dollars) on an obsolete network?

Arn't you glad you arn't in Monticello where the town is being "Wired" with OBSOLETE FIBER?

North Saint Paul residents can PAT THEMSELVES ON THEIR BACK for voting NO on PolarNet!

You did the RIGHT THING!

Once again North Saint Paul shows it's up to its old tricks.

One day notice for a meeting chaired by Connie Hoye to discuss PolarNet.

The only in attendance were the chosen few.

Sure would be nice to have a transparent city government but it will NEVER BE with the current elected and salaried people in North Saint Paul government.

Of course, it's all settled law--a series of douche bag opinions and judicial activism over the last 200 years. That's why they wipe their asses with the constitution.

The rules only apply to those who have the most gold or are in power.

This technology will deliver enough bandwidth and reliability at a low-enough cost to meet the consumer demands of the next decade. It is affordable now, which is why hundreds of companies using hundreds of different business cases worldwide are racing to install it in thousands of locations.
Imagine children being connected to their classroom even if they are sick at home, or being able to take advantage of online courses with better audio and video. Imagine being able to live in your house longer because you could communicate medical information with your doctor from the comfort of your home. Imagine the economic development in cities with the foresight to develop, not just for now, but for the future.
