Pickens Plan members from all over Ohio thank Congresswoman Betty Sutton, 13th Congressional District for co-sponsoring a bipartisan bill, HR 1835, called the Natural Gas Act of 2009. This bill encourages the US to use natural gas to replace foreign oil. Natural gas is cleaner and cheaper than petroleum and the US reserves of natural gas are equal to the oil reserves in Saudi Arabia. We appreciate Congresswoman Sutton’s support of a pragmatic bill that uses US resources to reduce security threats, create green jobs and improve the environment.

Tens of thousands of Ohioans joined with oilman T. Boone Pickens to demand the development of a cohesive, robust and long-term energy policy. This plan, the first in over 30 years, relies on wind, solar and natural gas as tools to break dependency on foreign oil, perhaps within the next five years.

Congresswoman Sutton recognizes the need to use resources at hand to reduce security threats from US dependence on foreign oil. America’s truck fleets cannot run on batteries. Did you know that the US spent $25 billion (That’s a B.) in September for petroleum imports? Congresswoman Sutton understands what those billions could do for the economy if left in the US. For example, that money could buy lots of jobs. We send Congresswoman Sutton a heartfelt thank you for her support of HR 1835. She puts the needs of her constituents above partisan politics.

Sincerely,

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Taurus

If you've been neglecting that special someone in your life over the past few days because you've been so busy with the festivities, try to make up for it today. Maybe you could have some time alone with them, or perhaps you simply need to remind them how much you love them. Don't be afraid to open up your heart to them, and to let them do the same to you.
