Blatant "I'll do as I want" land owners who violate zoning regulations and court rulings feel their entitled to do what they want because they have enough money to wear down opponents. In this and other cases the offender should pay a high fine and prevented from obtaining any further building permits by the town.

How many active duty Tewksbury cops have lived at the Castle over the years? Did that have anything to do with how Sullivan managed to break the law for so long? How about an investigation?

I've done business with this family, particullarly John. He's an absolute self server! Cares nothing about how he talks to, or about, people. He also has complete disregard for rules and regs. Forget fines and injuctions....this guy should be thrown behind bars!

I care because I watched a relative fight for her rights as developers in Tewksbury got away with multiple violations to place houses on substandard lots that are now sucking up town services adding to the tax burden more than they contribute. I care because I saw another Massachusetts businessman put up a vacation McMansion on an "un-buildable" lot without a permit, fought another town's legal efforts by spending twice the town's legal budget in court until he got the town to back down. That home, seldom used, now causes the street to go underwater every rainstorm. The "I can do anything because I have the money" attitude has me ranting and the more I see it the more angry I get.

Tewksbury is such a corrupt town, I can't believe how much crap this guy has gotten away with all these years. Hopefully something comes from it but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets away with it and all his other shady dealings.

Isn't this the same guy who worked with Rep Miceli on trying to pass a law for an illegal land swap at the Tewksbury State Hospital? How far up does the corruption go in Tewksbury, all the way to the State level?? I think its time we change the political landscape in Town.

Yes, this is the same John Sullivan who Rep. Miceli in 2001 wrote into a bill to transfer to "JDS Enterprises, Inc" 19 acres of land where the "victory gardens" are between the senior housing on Livingston St. and THE Farm] so John could put up a 284 unit "affordable" apartment house on state land. The deal died when the wet land he was going to swap for farm land didn't have clear title. For years Rep. Miceli has been a "good man doing a good job -- for the Sullivans" -- and there are reasons. Remember: John's dad, Kevin, used to be a Rep. and uses Rep. Miceli to this day to do his dirty work, whenever it suits him. To his credit, Rep. Miceli is probably not corrupt -- just too afraid of the Sullivans (collectively) to "just say no to thugs." Rep. Miceli almost pulled this off for the Sullivans, though, except for Tewksburyissues.org blowing the whistle on his under the radar scheming.

Let us not forget that The Castle is NOT the only illegal Sullivan apartment house in Tewksbury:
1. 1390 Main St.-- Illegal Apartment in Basement;
2. 56 River Rd.-- 3 Illegal Houses on 1 lot.
3. 304 Old Main St.-- Illegal Apartments.
4. 108 Pike St.-- Illegal 8-Family.
5. 322 Main St.-- Illegal Apartment in Garage.
These are the ones the Building Inspector knows about.

You may all vote in November to repeal the 40B law. It's time.
A Sullied Law

It is developers like the Sullivans who give 40B a bad name. Affordable housing is good. Illegal behavior by 40B developers, not so good. Wasn't Kevin Sullivan Tewksbury's "rep" on Beacon Hill when 40B was enacted? "He and Tommy Magee" --or was that the tune played during the Great 2001 Landswap Debacle on Livingston St?

Wasn't the "Landswap" Miceli doing the bidding of former Reps. Sullivan and Magee? By these actions the sports parents on Livingston Street and the elderly and the veterans living there came to realize how Jim's is our "independent voice" on Beacon Hill, beholden only to his former colleagues, who play him whenever they think Jim is feeling forgotten but not gone -- to make him feel he is a player once again!

When all Jim has left is his ego he will still be able to see the rolling fields unspoiled by development from the window of his suite at Tewksbury State Hospital .... because there ain't no way the Sullivans are going to put develop those emerald aisles!

The office of campaign finance lists one of Chris Doherty's supporters as-

SULLIVAN, RYAN
108 CATAMOUNT RD TEWKSBURY, MA 01876
ASSITANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY
MIDDLESEX DISTRCIT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE

Is this Sullivan's son? So Ryan Sullivan is an assistant DA and lives in an illegal apartment?
