''The Baby Boom generation is much more egalitarian,'' says Goldscheider.''They don't tell their children,'As long as you are under my roof, you have to do it my way,' the way their parents did to them.''
--That's the problem with the Baby Boom generation. Anything goes. That's why these blood and money-sucking 20-somethings have no respect and no responsibility. It's all a big party. Moving home? It should be "my house, my rules." This is why the Army was invented. Don't like it? Enlist or join the Peace Corps.

I'll be one of those who allows my son to come home if he wants. I'd rather have him here then on the streets.

I am so tired of you old people lumping an entire generation together. I (along with plenty of my friends) have held a part-time job throughout my college years. I pay my own bills and manage my own time. My parents didn't have the money to send me to college and that's why I have a ton of student loans. I'm not sure what jobs will be available to me when I'm done with school in a few months since the economy is going down the tubes, but I guess I can thank your generation for setting that up for me. It will have to be "those blood and money-sucking 20-somethings" who correct the economic mistakes of the past.

I wouldn't group all old people together, just as you don't want to be lumped together with all 20-somethings. But you do tend to get a fair number of grumpy SOBs that seem to congregate on these boards :)

An average of $23,000 in student loans? That must be nice. Many students at private schools easily rack that up in one year.

How about it.?

I came home from College in '99 and moved out early 2000 because my parents used chore tactics. Do them or leave. Plus I paid rent.
I wanted freedom, so I moved and got a decent job for a starting salary out of school.

Some baffoons think we all leached off of our parents.

This is the first time I had ever applied for a loan. I couldn't have asked for anything more from the staff that answered any of my questions to the application process. Once this had all been completed the money was transferred quickly into my account. I will definitely be recommending 911PDAY .COM ( http://goo.gl/OfrBxM ) too my friends and family.
