The chickens have come home to roost! Bad municipal planning led to this outcome. Oh well, someone has to be the trash capital of Eastern Mass. Since Lawrence and Lowell are serving as the gateway cities, Billerica is a fitting candidate for trash capital.

so two recycling plants, a asbestos dump, a super fund landfill, a rendering plant,a prison, houses built in industrial parks a house built in a cemetery, hundreds of 40B's junkyards, remember the the gas fired generating plant that was to consume 30% of our allocated water supply that no one wanted but was still approved, thank god the company pulled out, Billerica is one of the towns that if no other community wants it, then it's safe to stick it in Billerica, you will meet no opposition! 682

Yeah, I don't understand the appeal of situating houses in or next to industrial parks.

I don't see much trash on the grounds round the town at all.

From what I see we have a very vocal majority standing up to these stupid planning ideas. I wonder if we should do more to say NO!

Yes unfortunately I am a resident of Billerica and the town has definitely been declining through the years. It's not as bad as some towns in the area, but in a few more years it could definitely reach their lower level. People need to take pride in their town, not throw trash everywhere, be disrespectful to the environment, and build houses and developments where they are not wanted/needed.

For a town with so much nature, people DO NOT respect the environment here. I was taking a walk with my dog near my house in a school area and the woods behind it.. nice frikken trees and nature, tall trees too, very refreshing but the litter on the ground ruined it. Seems at least 50% of this towns patrons LITTER. We don't just have the race issue with different people, we also have issues with white people who've been doing this for years too. We have to factor in everything to make this better but if trends turn to Billerica only going downhill, well then what else are we to do? Can stay and fight or move north but studies have shown that if everyone collectively just runs and flees and all comes into some new area, it becomes the same as what they leave. I have a feeling though when a lot of the townies here are not alive in the next 10 years or so, this will be a drastically changed place with more condos and maybe even slums.

nature? woods? really where? actually you might want to keep that to yourself as if that info gets out the developers will surely be jamming in more sec8 houses and strip malls, Billerica cares not about woods nature or historic homes!
the illegal dumping is a result of the towns great leaders leaving the residents with no means to dispose of trash other what can fit inside one trash container ! other towns have transfer stations and dumps Billerica has none not even a leaf or tree dump

That's no excuse for littering! When you are done with your junk, throw it out.. how fucking hard is that? Otherwise this place just looks like its littered with lowlifes much like it was throughout the 80s.. nothings changed. This is why Billerica should stop trying to be something it isn't. Its not upscale, it never will be no matter how much they try.. you can put lipstick on a pig, its still a pig.

At Town Hall, they defend the littering and the slobbery? Unbelievable. I never ever catch people doing it though.. if I did, I'd get in rant mode pretty upset at them. I'd seem like a tree hugger from the West Coast real fast.

With the amount of white lowlifes in Billerica, it might as well look like Humboldt County.
