Al Donovan appears to have been put in a very hard spot. I am sure he thought he was doing the right thing at the time, but he should have reported it as his position of Chief holds more honor than his dirt bag brother-in-law.

Ms. Hohdal, I sure hope when this case is thrown out of court you are as up front in publicly clearing Chief Donovan of these charges as you have been in your obvious attempt to publicly destroy him. The DA in McLaughlins case made every attempt to prove the allegations the victim is claiming and could not come up with anything.

This is just terrific news! Its like an early Xmas gift. Its about time the "law" caught up with the so called "Law" in Tewksbury. This girl had problems, yes., But no one should be treated like she was in every aspect. Can you imagine what she was up against and helpless she felt? I know Al Donovan and I am privy to how he operates. He is an embarrassment to the community and the police department. What goes around comes around and it has come around for Al, but as we see in most complaints against the police, someone will find a way to let him off the hook. Lets just hope that when this young lady wins this settlement, that Al Donovan is held accountable personally.
AND (Steve from Lowell) if the DA had nothing, how did the dirt bag McLauglin end up in jail? You are probably one of Al's coke snortin' buddies from the 90's.

I'M GLAD HE IS DOING TIME!
HE THOUGHT HE COULD GET AWAY WITH IT BECAUSE OF HIS ASSOSIATION WITH THE POLICE ABD HE WAS RELATED TO ONE.
THAT POOR GIRL HAD TO ENDURE A RAPE, THEN THEY TRIED TO DEFAME HER AND DRAG HER LIFE DOWN.

If the allegations lay true this is concerning to me? This questions the integrity and moral of civil service people in leadership positions. Also, quite alarming considering that they have the publics faith and safety at hand. Should one abuse power and take the "law," into their own hands along with retributions what would they do for a friend that might be in a predicament? I firmly believe their should be a full investigation from top to bottom.

Steve, how rude to put the victims name in your commentary, it's obvious you've been cheered on to do it. And when you lie down with dogs you come up with fleas so you must be scratchin all over.

Michelle if you stay out of the caswell you could get rid of your fleas too but you will just bring them somewhere else.
