To the above, I'm not blaming fault on the person's fam.......just sick of what is happening to our city. These kids need something to be involved in outside of street life.

The gangster culture (TV) doesn't help either.

I would like to know if JJ has been arrested because whether two girls told the two that were murdered that JJ had drugs, JJ misused his fire arm and he placed himself outside on his front porch with his weapon ready, willing and able to murder two teen age strangers before they even arrived. He was on his front porch in anticipation of an event that hadn't even occured. He was waiting for these two kids to arrive. If he was afraid of something, he could have called the police. He planned on shooting to kill before the two arrived just in case something went awry. As for the two that allegedly set up JJ, then they should be charged with at least criminal menacing and contributing to the death of two others, i.e., manslaughter, though its highly unlikely that JJ was "set up". The two probably illicited JJ's help because they did not want to make the deal alone and he got involved willingly and knowingly. If anyone was set up by the two girls, it was the two teens who were murdered. JJ was already out on his porch waiting and with a gun. I dont think he's a stranger to the drug world either or he would not have gotten involved from the start. He could have and should have called the police. And for the commentary about it not being a big deal because a small amount of marijuana was found at the scene, then why prop yourself outside on your front porch with a gun ready to shoot to kill before these two even arrived? If its no big deal, why were two people murdered? This is where the DA needs to step up to the plate and start charging those responsible. You can call me anything you want for voicing my opinion, I dont really care, but the violence needs to stop and people need to be made to take responsibility for their actions and their roles in the murder of two teens on Malden streets who were shot to death over a no big deal amount of marijuana.

Who Cares ...(?) You care or you wouldnt be visiting this thread. If its better them than you then you obviously care that it is not you and you should continue to care that it is not you because of the violence on the streets in Malden. That's right they all had guns. And it sounds like the two were owed money and came to collect and this JJ became the go between, a big shot with a gun, pardon the pun, and got involved willingly and knowingly, and was ready to kill two people when he did not have to and he should not have gotten involved. Having a permit to own a gun means that you are of sound mind and are capable of good judgement, yet someone on this forum claimed he was "set up" because he was supposedly manpiulated to be involved (?) Yeah, right. Because he has a clean record should not mean he gets away from this matter clean. As far as I am concerned, and I am concerned, he murdered two people and should be charged accordingly. I hope that the authorities have had the good sense to not only yank his firearms but his permit as well!!!

he didn't misuse his firearm, he actually used it properly. he had th proper licensing and permission to conceal, and discharged only after being in fear for his and another's safety--on HIS property.
the only way he is going to be charged is if it is proven that a felony was under way, than the resulting deaths will be viewed as a murder.

I also know jj - i went to school with him, and i've known him for about 10 years. He and his friend, who i won't name, are ALWAYS at jj's house. they mess with jj's cars and bike, hang on his porch, etc., and are usually there real late, but he's a really good guy-he's not violent, never had that streak. i got out of malden, but if i still lived there, I'd carry my firearm on me constantly. he obv. bought the gun to carry, and he did--no surprise there. murderers and dealers don't shoot people with registered guns--and ANYONE in malden can tell you where to find an unregistered one. as for the weed--it's decriminalized...it'll be hard for the DA to press this, especially when the VAST majority of malden support jj--it'd be a bad political move.

Distribution of drugs is still illegal. You must not have had that class yet. You can also ask anyone in Malden where to buy weed and your friend's name might come up. The police not the politicians take people to court. You must not have had that class yet either.

Even if this Jay was licensed to have the gun, you don't murder two kids. If they were truly trespassing as alleged, go inside and call the police. I'm not buying the eminent fear of his life bull. It was just an excuse to fire the gun. it wouldn't surprise me if he was involved in a drug deal.
