To Whom It May Concern:
Our Family rented to Mr. Joseph A. Zuccolo (dba Zuccolo’s Fine Men’s Clothing), commercial space located at 266 Atwells Avenue in Providence since January 2002. I, Samira Thomas was the person who collected the rent from Mr. Joseph A. Zuccolo back since 2002. Mr. Zuccolo was behind in his rental payments and “promised” me, Samira Thomas the back rent will be paid in due time. Based upon the “promise” he made to me I trusted him with more time to pay the back rent.
On April 21, 2010 he filed for bankruptcy. He owed us $15,000.00.(It was actually $21,000; the $15,000 was a conservative amount). I am 80 years old. He betrayed my trust. I was devastated by his actions. He broke his promise to an 80 year old woman. Prior to his bankruptcy filing, he withdrew cash to himself prior to paying me the “promised” rental payments. How sad and shameful.
Now with this in mind, should a voter cast a vote (North Providence council) for a person who:
1. Does not keep a promise.
2. Who cannot run a business successfully or at least have the “vision as a leader” to close down the business prior to hurting his creditors.
3. A person, who withdraws his business cash to himself, thereafter files bankruptcy, and leaves his creditors without paying them?
You decide. It’s your future.
Truthfully yours,

Samira Thomas.
