Johnston to stop sending ambulances to Providence this weekend

At 1 minute after midnight on Saturday, Johnston will stop sending its fire rescues into Providence to provide ambulance service when the city's Fire Department has none of its own rescues to send, according to Johnston Mayor Joseph M. Polisena.

So WHY THE FREAK doesn't Providence have their own ambulance services? Maybe, a private business tried to obtain a license and were rejected..the hospitals should provide the ambulance services, just tack it onto the emergency room treatment bill. Sounds good to me..KEEP IT LOCAL!
