I'm a Lowe's employee who lives in Johnston and travels to North Kingstown to work every day. It would be nice to reduce my drive in half. Not only that, Lowe's is a great company that everyone from the DIYer to the citizens can benefit from. It's about expanding in order to meet people's needs.

Katfish, by the way Lowes isn't owned by Wal-mart...so open mouth insert foot, becaue you have no clue what your talking about. Second, Lowes happens to be a great company to work for, they treat their employees really well, they pay them well. Don't make comments on things you have no clue about

I have people who work for homedepot and would die before ever going back to how badly they we're treated by lowes. Maybe that's why homedepot made more money last year. And it is an eyesore on our Mineral Spring Ave

Maybe the people of North Providence would rather have an empty, decaying automobile dealership or some low income housing to add to the tax burden of an already over-taxed population. And they should have let them build the amusement park up the street behind Twin Rivers. We all know how awful Rocky Point was and what a bad thing it was for Rhode Island. Now we just immortalize it with pictures and memories. Rhode Islanders are just reluctant to take a chance and and let developers come in and create wonderful things, they all want a kick back or just to create difficulties and obstacles to be able to cause people strife. It's the Rhode Island way, that's why we have nothing here and the whole state is going to shit. Taxes are sky rocketing, but let's pay people a heck of a lot less and tax them more, then they'll have less money to spend in-state and it doesn't take an economics major to use common sense about that.

I don't understand why people are so resentful towards this new lowes. I mean what other company is going to pay 15 million dollars to build a 40wall just to make its surrounding neighbors happy. Also the money generating from taxes for the state is a good chunk of change. Not to mention the land that was given up to help with traffic. And whoever mentioned Home Chepo dont make me vomit. Home Depot not only is a different type of store It also has hundreds of more stores nationwide, of course their going to make more money. There like Mcdonalds, every time you take a turn there is one in front of you.

So I hope I dont hear anymore haters because you are either a stubborn old fool or you dont know what you are talking about. The End
