North Port Police Suck!

Ya know, I know that you know. These police are out of control. I want to start a discussion of North Port citizens that have had encounters with these yahoos. Stuff like there traffic stops. Their hypo-critical actions. ie. Speeding down Price Blvd. and time, w/o lights or sirens. wtf! Parking in no parking zones. I should be able to issue them a ticket. Also their petty arrests for these damn Misdermenors, C'mon! maybe it's not NoPo Po Po, Florida doesn't have a violation, just misdermenors and felonys! so in most cases if the police are there, then someone is a Mr. Meanor! hahahahaha! Well hope to hear from all you Felons and Mr / Miss Meanors.

Dude, caught doing something? Yes! I was walking ome from Applebees becasue I had a few too many, well on the way home I was rushed by 2 cop cars for some ppl pointing me out as a person who didnt pay his bill. It was not me well at my right of resisting an illegal arrest, they slapped me with resisting and sent me to jail, well after court where I represented myself. The judge dismissed the whole thing! Yes I am the man, my father is a Lawyer and my Brother a CC Deputy. They and their coliuges belive NPPD is a joke. Have a nice day! HAHA

For someone who's father is a lawyer & brother is a cc deputy you would think you might be a bit intelligent and just co-operated with the police in the first place! Let me ask you - what time did you decide to walk home from the bar...Late, Dark & did you yell at the police saying your father's a lawyer etc. trying to be a big man! Like that ever works! I thank the police for there routine checks - keeps the neigborhood safe. As for you being arrested it's your own damn fault. Just act like "A Man" and do the appropriate thing - explain calmly your situation & if they need to bring you back to applebee's so you are identified as Not the one who walked on a check - well you should of just done it! It appears to me, Slugger, your a bit of a hot head and probably were arressted with in the law! Next time don't drink so much or call a cab!

I think “smart girl” is not that smart at all, or maybe just blind.
“NorthPortSlugger” 100 % right. North Port cops (some of them) out of control, especially “undercover team”. Another night I’ve seen NPPD SUV w/out working driver side light, and I know some body who got ticket for same thing. And yes, they do go way over speed limit w/out lights or siren.

I had a good laugh the other day. Went to traffic court over a ticket I had received for parking my truck in the wrong place at a filling station. The judge took the state troopers first, then the venice tickets, and finally the North Port tickets. He dismissed every one. Moral of the story -fight every time if your up against North Pit's "finest". Odds are you will win!!!

I do believe judges are key, these offices arrest and give tickets, there is no skin off their teeth if its a waste of time and money. Officers can be so rigid and lack discretion.
OK, Super Troopers skit! What is with NPPD wasting their time on I-75, I mean fine, gets them out of the city residents hair. I just thought that is State Troopers Jurisdiction?
As far as I care, getting on at Sumter going North, their city limit is 2 miles after the bridge, I'd like to test their ability to leave the city and arrest and ticket someone. But, as stupid as they can be, they'd try! Hahahahaha! I bring this up because they snagged someone 8/29/07 about 1 mile short of the city limit!

Well, isn't this a bunch of back wood hillbilly rejects. If for one second anyone responded with an agreement to these stupid posts I would say you are a lost cause. Oh yes, go to court with your ticket, you will probably lose. North Port does not get their citations thrown out of court. Last week the judge was handing out $500.00 fines like candy on Halloween. So you take that speeding ticket to court and remember what you read on the back of the ticket, if you can read "you may be fined up to $500.00 if found guilty".

Right! Just listen to the supposed a**hole officer telling you to give up your right to a court hearing.
There have been several NPPD citations dismissed in court at the south county annex in the last quarter so nice try at the spin game officer wannabe.
I also love that fact that it appears that someone on the NPPD board of the LEOAFFAIRS forum is trying their best to find out who is posting in the negative about NPPD.

grew up in north port,the police station used to close at 5 o'clock.im not kidding!as time went on,it was a haven for cops rejected from other states,for things like having sex with underage girls-stuff like that.when they got two cars,i made the mistake of asking why on the radio they didnt just say"car one to car two"instead of unit 760 to 295(whatever)got a minor ass whippin for that one!ahhh..good times.that was long ago and the only thing different is theres more of them.i now live in tampa and have been pulled over 5 of my six visits to family and friends over the years,twice just for having hills. county tags!guess they thought i must be up to no good coming there from the drug capital of the u.s,as they brought out the dogs to search my car.anyway,wont be back soon-still a beutifull area though

You goof ball, you couldn't get past the dog, let alone run faster then a bullet. Shit my wife, she'd give ya a run for your money too, so watch out. It would be great to say I could rely on the cops if someone did infiltrate my home, but I'm sure they would fall short of saving anything but some DNA evidence. Sorry I just have little faith they can stop crime.

North Port cops suck! The only thing they know how to do is pull over people for minor traffic violations. They cant catch anyone who breaks into your house when blood and fingerprints are left at the scene. They cant find a missing mother who ends up killed. They cant solve any cases...but I get a warning for a "rolling stop". I am a wonderful citizen and I get pulled over but the North Port cops cant catch anyone committing a felony! Do they even have any education past high school. My 13 year old cousin could solve a crime before the North Port cops could. Show me a North Port cop with some intelligence.
