Stop wasting energy on a pr stunt.

Ridiculous.

Look at Obama..took a plane and then two helicopters to go on a date with his wife.

That's WASTEFUL and COSTLY!-$24K for taxpayers

Obama also flew in one day to Nevada, California and then back to DC.

Nancy Pelosi flies home to California twice a week and just recently flew to China.

All of these flights increased the carbon footprint and cost the american taxpayers lots of money!

Al Gore-ditto- huge home, suv, charters private jets.

Celebrities-ditto-Al Gore.

It's okay for "them" but not for us, pipsqueaks taxpayers...we've got to reduce our carbon footprint and pay more taxes.

Vote out those candidates who support these obscenities.

This is a stupid PR stunt. I still wouldn't consider buying one of those ugly azzed cars if gas was $50.00 a gallon.

It's an amusing stunt for publicity, but not an answer for real people.

1. Businesses aren't going to line up to give people free electricity for 4 hours at a time.

2. Did they say that would be 36 - 4 hour stops? That is 144 hours extra to your trip, which is 6 days. There goes your week vacation - to go one way to Washington DC. Even if you're retired and have all the free time in the world, an extra 6 nights of hotels is going to suck up your gas savings.

3. When I took my kids to Washington a few summers ago, we had 4 people in the car plus clothing for 4.

4. Most people driving to DC are going to stay for a week WITH their luggage and family.

Maybe he can take concerned one with him and drop him off at the curb in DC and tell him if he wants to return to S FL, he can walk back!

I think if we'd drill, gas would be back to a buck a gallon. However, these green nuts would never let that happen. I'd rather drive a big SUV for my family's safety and let you tree huggers who suck down the kool aid do your thing. I can drive to Washington in less than 2 days. But, instead of 30, I drive 80 and suck down the fuel. My time is worth more than driving 35 mph. Watch obama tax fuel another $1 or $2 to get you nuts to buy prius'. what a joke!

"We have to get away from using fossil fuels,"
What does this putz think powers the electrical outlet that he is plugging his car into, soy beans?
Generating electricity with fossil fuel, transmitting it (with HUGE losses of efficency) to an outlet, charging the batteries (which are made out of stuff so toxic, it should not be on our planet) is less efficent than an internal combustion engine.
This sounds like Al Gore with his $5000/month air conditioning bill at his house.

It was a different world then, maam.. We weren't 3 TRILLION in debt. When your 3 trillion in debt and your the leader of this nation, you don't galavant around New York City like nothing is wrong. If you haven't noticed, this country is still in a recession and the leader of this country is prolonging it. You think his stimulus was to stimulate?!?!? HAHAHA. Take a look at the earmarks:

Here's my expense report boss. Let's see, 11 gallons of gas =$30.00 and 11 nights at a motel =$1,100 and 33 meals =$80. Total =$1,210. Good job!
