Why not capture new sales tax revenue with cap on boat and plane sales in Florida? Large boat buyers easily go to off shore foreign countries to buy boats--foregoing any sales tax revenue for the State. A 18kcap generally equates to the cost of off shore foreign country registry. The cap will provide the right incentive to bring those sales to Florida. The result will be a competitive marine industry that is now going away with the tide.
