What do the senior citizens recieve with this levy? we must pay and get no play. Will students mow the lawns or clear the snow? W try and sneak the levy with a special election at a cost of $71`,000.00 when it could be put on the sept primary or nov general election? we must live with in our means.

What do all citizens of North Olmsted receive without this levy? A weaker community. Good neighbors will move elsewhere to find communities who value education. Programs such as S.I.T.E.S that teach students the importance of citizenship and volunteerism will be eliminated. The issue is not paying to play, rather providing students a well-rounded educational experience and the best opportunity to succeed. With inflation, decreasing property values, and a state government that cannot maintain their level of funding, it is up to the voters to support the school district when there are shortfalls. The system fails the students and it is a shame their neighbors fail them as well.

our son has played some type of sport since we moved here to n.olmsted 7 yrs ago. his FAVORITE sport is football this will be his 7th yr playing his beloved sport! my husband coaches football for the n.olmsted rec center we live for this sport and this city were so proud to call north olmsted our home until now!
our son has made some of the BEST friends while playing these sports, his grades are no lower than a B+ at all times, he respects all his coaches, teachers and any type of attoriorty .it's super important for these kids in these crazy times to learn respect, and keep busy so they stay out of trouble! we fear now that the levy failed there will be alot of kids that cannot 'pay to play' due to finacial reasons ..these kids are GOOD kids that LOVE there city, team and school! our kids PARADE around in north olmsted atire all the time bc there PROUD Of this place they call home.so sad to see that it will be taken away from some of them, because some ppl dont see it important. when these kids are board and they will be bc there used to staying busy YR round..they will find LOTS to do and im sure it will not be CONSTRUCTIVE! these are yound kids that will have ALOT of extra time on there hands..

For paying around an extra $30 a month, we can have safe effective busing for our children instead of parents clogging the streets with our cars, wasting gas, and polluting our city. For that extra $30 a month, parents can keep those kids off the streets and join sports or get into some after school activities. C'mon guys, lets make this levy a go in November. I actually will admit that we made a mistake moving into North Olmsted. With a community that does not care about our kids, what can I say? I know it adds up and we are all in tough times but our children need this for our community to grow. Oh, I was wondering....aren't senior citizens able to apply for a property tax reduction through cuyahoga county?? I could be wrong...if I am than I can understand the argument.

SITES is a nationally funded program and will never be affected by non-passage of a levy!

To all of you gullible voters out there. The first thing that will happen if the levy passes is the school board members will all give themselves a pat on the back and give themselves all a nice big raise! Then we will give everyone else connected with the school system a nice non-deserved raise. When will the kids ever see any of the benefits of a passed levy? NEVER! After the raises are passed around and more funds are mismanaged we'll be back in the same situation in a year or two. The first thing we need to do is get a whole new school board who actually knows what the heck they're doing with the taxpayers hard earned money.
