In the US, a political action committee, or PAC, is the name commonly given to a private group, regardless of size, organized to elect or defeat government officials or to promote legislation. Legally, what constitutes a "PAC" for purposes of regulation is a matter of state and federal law. Under the Federal Election Campaign Act, an organization becomes a "political committee" by receiving contributions or making expenditures in excess of $1,000 for the purpose of influencing a federal election.

Contributions by individuals to federal PACs are limited to $5000. Corporations and unions may not contribute to federal PACs, though they may pay for the administrative costs of a PAC affiliated with the specific corporation or union. "Independent" PACs not affiliated with a corporation or union may solicit contributions from the general public but must pay their operating costs from these regulated contributions.

Federal Multi-candidate PACs are limited in the amount of money they can contribute to other organizations:

* at most $5,000 per candidate per election. Elections such as primaries, general elections and special elections are counted separately.
* at most $15,000 per political party per year.
* at most $5,000 per PAC per year.

Under federal law, PACs are not limited in their ability to spend money independently of a candidate campaign.

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) asks members and supporters to contact their congressional leaders to censure Congressman Steve King (R-IA) for racist comments he made about presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama (D-IL). Congressman King is the ranking Republican member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security and International Law.
On Saturday, March 8, 2008, on an Iowa radio, Congressman King said, "if [Obama] is elected president, then the radical Islamists and their supporters will be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11 because they will declare victory in this War on Terror." King continued his Islamophobic commentary by saying, "[Obama's] middle name does matter...because they read a meaning into that in the rest of the world...They will be dancing in the streets because of his middle name [and] because of who his father was and because of his posture that says: pull out of the Middle East and pull out of this conflict."
King reiterated his comments yesterday in an interview with the Associated Press saying, "[Obama will] certainly be viewed as a savior for them," King told The Associated Press, "That's why you will see them supporting him, encouraging him."
King's comments suggest that Senator Obama is somehow linked with terrorism and that his potential election would be cause for celebration among fanatical extremists. He also raises questions and suspicions about Senator Obama's middle name Hussein. ADC is deeply troubled by King's fear promoting comments which are part of an increasingly vicious pattern noted by ADC. ADC has found that particularly malicious forms of anti-Muslim and anti-Arab bigotry are becoming more prevalent in mainstream discourse and King's comments are another example.

LAS VEGAS is very strict with regard to its JEWISH doctrine and its influence in the courtroom is very strong. Strong enough, in fact, that a court in Clark County a female sex victim and her minor son at the time of the sex crime, was punished for filing a Civil Suit following the Criminal Conviction.

A woman left Temple Beth Shalom late one night as she walked in the parking lot she was attacked from behind and what followed was a sexual attack that destroyed her life and family.
A criminal Conviction followed and then Civil Trial.
For pressing her case by daring to complain about being denied a Fair Trial in Federal Discovery Law Rights that every Court followers that Judges who had donations in the case sat on the case and did not disclosed to the sex victim, not allowing victim any Federal Discovery Law and it was allowed for Chabad side.
Judge Tim Williams closed her case down by denying her any rights in Federal Discovery Law.
Victim and her minor son were then punished, and the Court saw fit that the sex victim pay close to Two Hundred Thousand to defendants and there lawyer Lionel Sawyer and Collins, Mark Solomon and others.
Strangely, the victim became very ill and close to death after the Judge ordered her to pay the defendants. Adding insult to injury to victim again. Perhaps her situation could not get any worse, after all. Oh, wait, it already did. They filed on her son and her liens on there life in Clark County Recorders. They can never own anything and they must work like dogs for the sexual crime and Human Rights abuse on her body.
That will teach her to demand a little human dignity from a Las Vegas Court, won't it? The next victim will certainly think twice about making her case.
It's exactly this sort of injustice that makes the world disdainful of religious leaders teaching becoming controlled and power over the courts.

THE lawyer for an ultra-orthodox Jewish school said yesterday that no representative had yet spoken to the former principal accused of molesting students.

Parents say the Adass Israel Girls' School in Elsternwick paid for its principal, Malka Leifer, to return to Israel after sexual molestation allegations emerged against her last week. She left Melbourne 24 hours after being investigated and sacked by the school's board.

The Adass community is a small, ultra-orthodox and reclusive group of about 150 families based in Elsternwick and Ripponlea. The school monitors its own curriculum, down to morals and dress code.
All comment yesterday was referred to Mr Rosenbaum.

He said outside the school's grounds that he would not discuss the allegations, citing legal bounds and respect for the confidentiality of those affected.

But Mr Rosenbaum gave assurances that issues were being dealt with by professionals.

A police spokeswoman said yesterday that Victoria Police had not received a complaint.

Mr Rosenbaum said: "People are devastated because even the mere allegation is something which goes to the very core of the principles and the morals and ethics which this school intends to inculcate in its students.

"Certainly we have the best interests of those affected at the forefront and we are fully cognisant of the other issues, legal and otherwise, which go with that," he said.

"It is small community, a close-knit community. Not only are the children with one another at school but their parents are invariably close friends."

Mr Rosenbaum said neither he nor the school, to the best of his knowledge, had spoken to the former principal since she left.

"I don't know first hand but there is popular rumour around that she went back to her home of origin," he said.

A security guard stood watch and staff guarded the private school's gates yesterday after the allegations against Mrs Leifer, a mother of eight, appeared in The Age and The Australian Jewish News
.
Parents approached by media representatives were unwilling to talk, and one woman who wanted to speak was whisked inside school grounds by a staff member.

Australia has an extradition treaty with Israel, but Israel does not extradite its citizens.
