Great Job. I am glad her & the others at least understand they DON'T have to fall so easily into what the media wants.
Usually it is O.K. I won't care about what they want me to be ,BUT then easily conform to something else. often times even worse.
I like their message. I have a teenage daughter that is exploring a bt,but also doesn't like the glamour hype or forced thoughts ,so it is hard to show her just how fine a line this is.
I have many faceted issues with this. Because even though I am still a hippie & hold some strong ideals on human behavior, I am also very sober, putting me in a smaller group,a single male parents is another, It is very important during these yrs that teens see themselves in a very positive way.
I can see so far my positive attitude has been what keeps her highly motivated so far. Good job. Rick

What a completely cool story! About when they stay after school use magic markers to put positive affirmations and things on the back of T-shirts, I've seen the same thing done on bare skin with body paint at certain events I've gone to. This is a really feel good story, thank you to whomever posted it!
