I watched the whole accident happen. It was insane, I live directly across from the old trooper baracks and was standing on my deck smoking a cigarrette. When the motorcycle came at a crazy rate of speed. Atleast 100mph, which was obsured but the most obsured thing of all was the not one but two police crusers were right behind him, on his ass, doing the same speed. I could not believe it. A 30 mph zone and the three of them doing probably 300mph combined between them all. Now what really gets me is they had to have had his liscence plate number and known who he was and where he lived. Now they couldn't have gone to his house and arrested him the had to have a ridiculious high speed chase that the officers involved had to have known that the only way this was gonna end was badly. Yes the man was going too fast but the officers actions in the matter were awful. I am disgusted at what I had too witness and I hope that Jamie makes it through this and I have never met him. The officers should be ashamed of the actions they took on that evening. The last thing I have to say is I have been watching the news and reading the paper trying to find out how he's doing, which makes me wonder if the police department is trying to sweep this under the carpet. And I just wanna say what I saw the officers made and awful choice that evening. But we are in the big bad state of Maine fella's. Gung ho

I heard the reckless police pursuit by the deputies on the scanner and one of them reported that they were going 100 mph in the area of the old State Police barracks. I also wonder how Jamie is doing but there have been no updates. Also I wonder if the Knox County Sheriff has reprimanded/suspend (without pay) the deputies for their reckless cowboy like actions in chasing someone who committed the "crime" of speeding? Is it standard operating procedure in Knox County Sheriff's Office to chase a speeder at any speed to the ends of the earth until they are caught or until someone is killed or injured?

Your guess is as good as mine with the suspension without pay for the officers involved topic. They still haven't released any news of his condition or there version of what happened. I know what I witnessed was madness. Even if he was in a car it would have been crazy due to the area and surroundings, but on a motorcycle they had to have known no good would come of the persute if he didn't initially stop on the bike. So let it go and get him later when he's not going 100mph and he'd be in better shape then he is now I'm sure. I sincerely hope all goes ok for Jamie.

I knew very little of this until last night and know very little about what is going on with Jamie but he is a truck driver and I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking with him multiple occations. As of today (9/14)- he is still in the hospital and more or less comatose. This comes from a fellow driver who is checking in with the family and Jamie's employer. Again this is third party information, take it with a grain of salt please. Jamie is a very nice young man. I wish the best possible outcome for him. Prayers are with he and his family.
