There isn't a day that doesn't go by that I don't pray for that Mom. I too am a North Haven High School parent and my son knew Nicole as well. I know first hand what it's like to try and keep track of your kids. It certainly is not an easy task. God Bless this family!

I am also a NHHS parent and my son just finished his freshman year. I cannot even imagine the grief that the family is still going through. I wish them comfort in knowing how much the NH community cared for her. I did know her personally, but have heard some wonderful things about her. Bless you........

My heart goes out to this mother. I hope and pray that this 22-year old gets what he deserves. I'm sorry I know this will not bring back your daughter, but maybe if the punishment increases for the individuals that think its ok to drink and drive. We may just have a chance of seeing less of our kids dying this way. Let our teens have a chance at life!!!

I'm glad that the mother was able to do this....
I'm just curious as to why only this one was covered and not the graduation of the two Amity students that passed away in March...too soon they seem to have been forgotten. |

Or the little boy in West Haven that was hit by a car not too long ago. I was at the Bailey Middle School graduation last night and his parents accepted his diploma on his behalf. I give the parents alot of credit for doing that. I'm not sure I would have been able to. My heart goes out to each and every one of the parents/families/ friends who have lost a loved one.

I'm a member of the Class of 1966, who currently lives in Virginia. My family is so sorry to hear of this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Nicole's family and to her classmates as they graduate. Be strong. Carry a bit of Nicole in your hearts and souls. Burn brighter because of her!
