Wis. man survives train rolling over him

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Fond du Lac police say a highly intoxicated man who survived when multiple freight train cars rolled over him is "the luckiest guy alive." Police Major Kevin Lemke says Canadian National Railway Company employees reported they ran over someone lying between the tracks and did an emergency stop about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

i was actually hit by a train & broke everything from my right hip down. modern med/science is amazing and i walk with only a slight limp, this after 5months with an external fixator. I was drunk and high at the time. this serious consequence is what finally got me started on the road to "recovery". this story is BULLSHIT he was either hit by the train or not. the interest in a man who was lying between the tracks and survives unscathed is legit though if that is the case the headline should be changed. what should/could be of important interest to us all as individuals and as a public health matter is how best to treat our fellow human beings with chronic substance abuse issues. until this person who has a profound disorder finally gets and stays clan and sober his life will be a living hell with a vast ripple effect

Funny thing is, this isn't the first time someone in FDL has been hit by a train. I believe 3 others were hit during the past 10 years. Why do these local FDL drunks feel so invincible, that they can play with trains?
