However, now if a black person think that some racist **** is going on, they are now laughed at like we are just using the race card to get something... but if you look at what is going on in this country especially California, you will notice that racism against blacks is getting out of control.... so say what you please; but racism against blacks is up and running.
It does seem that the racism has risen with the election of the first half-white president. So many more ethnic problems with hate group memberships increasing. America will never be post-racial.

Hopefully the Monrovia-Duarte-Harbor Gateway model will not come to Pasadena area. We really don't need another race based killing spree.

It's not about race, it's about crime and we need to stop it once and for all. This has just gone too far and for too long. Double, triple the sentences for gang related crimes. Lock 'em up until they are old and grey.
Yeah, then when they are 60, let them out and feed, shelter and clothe them. Hahahahaha, and none of that cheap stuff either.

The black community whines about how the racist white city council and police won't do anything about the crime problem, because it's in a black neighborhood and no one cares, etc., and whenever the police DO crack down, it's "they wouldn't harass people in a white neighborhood like that"..."look how they do us"...and on and on.

Jigs...you could set your watch by them.

Teens need to go to school. Study. Get good grades. Get involved in sports or another activity. Get off the streets. Respect authority (teachers, parents, police, ministers, etc.) Respect themselves by staying away from sex and drugs and alcohol and bad people. It might be lonely at first, but then they'd find new friends and a happier life. Better than being dead or in prison, right? Take responsibility for the choices you make and stop blaming others.

Ministers lack authority to do anything to anybody. What authority does a minister have? Name one? Are you saying that a minister is authorized to go around and detain and search children? A minister ain't got no authority what so ever over anything that isn't his own property or under his control legally, such as in the case of power of attorney.

As for teachers, they may be state employees, but I doubt they possess authorized powers, if very few. Additionally, neither does someone elses parents. If someone else's parent tried to use their, as you say "parental authority" to lure a child into a house, wouldn't that be just super if the kid respected that "parental authority"?

Police ARE authorized arrest powers, a gift of authority granted from the people whom police serve. Therefore, it wouldn't take much effort to logically realize that while police are authorized powers, they are the servant of the people who are their master. Therefore, police need to be respecting their master, not the other way around.

Secondly, a police officer cannot simply detain anyone without reason. Therefore, once again, the poliice officer must respect the rights of his master, the public, or be in fear of civil and criminal prosecution.

What a child must do, just like any other person, is obey a lawful police order or face the possiblity of being charged with an offense for not doing so....UNLESS, there is a mitigating circumstance, such as the belief that one's life is in danger by following the police order. One does not lose their right to self defense simply because another is wearing a uniform or displaying a badge.

Btw, a citizen does have the power of a citizen's arrest- "Citizen's arrest means that a private citizen has the right to detain suspected criminals until proper law enforcement personnel can assume custody." It is used regularly in this country. If you are witness to a crime and there are no other authorities available you may arrest away.. Just be aware of civil liability in the event that your "arrest" is unjustified..

This city is ignoring what can easily become an all out riot.
I condemn the pacifistic nature of the Pasadena City Council who are more concerned about Ice Rinks than they are the violence north of the 210 freeway.
Since when is it the job of City of Pasadena to raise your children? You PEOPLE, and you know who I am talking about, are notorious for pointing the finger at everyone but yourselves. My kids donít drive around in various cities shooting at people, and if they did,(not that that would ever happen) I wouldnít blame any city for it. And itís not a result of the city they live in that they donít shoot people, it a result he being raised in a proper household. Iíll almost guarantee that you have no idea where all your children are right now. For all that, where your father is? Well he is either in jail, dead or in the wind. Go outside and gather up your children and this stuff wont happen and maybe just maybe the northwest area of Pasadena will be a safer place.

"is from citizens handbook of law. Pop it in google. But the the basis for the quote can be found in English common law and state law throughout the country. Before we had police everywhere, citizen's arrests were common.. Did it myself once years ago.. Read a book jerko..

Or from Wiki-
United States-
Each state, with the exception of North Carolina, permits citizen arrests if the commission of a felony is witnessed by the arresting citizen, or when a citizen is asked to assist in the apprehension of a suspect by police. The application of state laws varies widely with respect to misdemeanors, breaches of the peace, and felonies not witnessed by the arresting party. American citizens do not carry the authority or enjoy the legal protections held by police officers, and are held to the principle of strict liability before the courts of civil- and criminal law including but not limited to any infringement of another's rights.[30]

Though North Carolina General Statutes have no provision for citizens' arrests, detention by private persons is permitted and applies to both civilians and police officers outside their jurisdiction.[31] Detention is permitted where probable cause exists that one has committed a felony, breach of peace, physical injury to another person, or theft or destruction of property.[32] Detention is different from an arrest in that in a detention the detainee may not be transported without consent.
