What a joke, the NAACP and other community leaders telling the community to keep their composure. Yea, sure the low lifes will do just that.

In this case the victim was no better than the suspects, and there is no loss to society.

I don't mind if these fools go out and shoot at each other. We all know that the silence in the streets shows that's what's coming next. Payback! It's the only thing these fools know. They have no clue who did it or why, they just know they have to go out and kill someone for the sake of killing someone.

What I do mind is that they're so stupid they can't even shoot straight and the innocent ones are the ones who pay. They have no disregard for taking out innocent people including children who happen to be near the intended victim.

A lot of people say since they like guns, they should be sent to Iraq! What good will that do if they don't even know how to hit a target? I thought we all wanted to win this war?

If you really want payback, hit the streets and find out who did it and turn them in. Guns and violence will not solve anything

I say create a law that bans gang members from living within or visiting Pasadena. They are criminals and should be treated as one at all times.

I doubt everyone who posted a comment is white. Gang members are a problem for Pasadena. They need to be exiled from this city one way or another. Gang members are nothing more than a burdern to this city.

If I were black or latino with kids living in NW Pas, I would move to a different city. Mistaken identity happens. Better to be safe than sorry. Don't let your kids grow up in that environment. Give them a better life. Move to a safer place.

Any good person with any common sense would never get near that rat hole called N/W Pasadena.

I thought they were exiled? It's called Northwest Pasadena.

Don't worry, those in the Hastings Ranch or the SW area of the city have nothing to worry about. Carry on, there's nothing to see here.

i realize that of course every human being is made in the image of God and has infinite worth and value.

but it's hard to be sympathetic to people willfully murdering each other with degenerate disregard for - anything.

the community is right to do whatever it can in good faith to prevent future violence, but i'm not losing any sleep over these street urchins taking each other out.

just keepin it real.

Who teaches beligence is good1 Who teaches that kids have a right to kill? Where is the Ten Commandments in schools? The ACLU is responsible for the violence in society, because they will defend it! They will defend Arab Terrorists and maybe one day be at the wrong end of an assult! If they are; no great loss or will it be viewed as an asset to not to have the voice of their rancor and disobedience! Silence would be golden not having them clogging of the courts with their tort cases!

While there is a secret committee picking our next Chief of Police and while the Mayor contemplates his next vacation to China, the escalation of the race war in Northwest Pasadena is certain.

This city is ignoring what can easily become an all out riot.

I condemn the pacifistic nature of the Pasadena City Council who are more concerned about Ice Rinks than they are the violence north of the 210 freeway.

What should the City Council do? I mean, what specific actions should be taken?
