Are you kidding????? A least a dozen casings? And the boy didn't even have a gun. The police were using him for target practice. Remember, he was only 20 years old!

cjmom.., Are you a MORON? GOD, you speak of what you don't know. I DO know what I am talking about and it was completely JUSTIFIED. When you commit NUMEROUS robberies of banks and you get caught by police and refuse to put up your hands, then reach into the vehicle and point something that looks like a gun at the police you leave the police little choice. They didn't use him for target practice.(only a statement an idiot would make). Guess what...when your life is in danger as a police officer and there are four or five of you and you each fire 3 shots...that equals 12-15 shots. Get it? Duh! BTW, 20 year old "boys" can kill just as fast as 35 year old men, and so on. IGNORANCE of the highest degree...that's you in a nutshell

I feel very bad for the officers involved as this is something they will carry with them for the rest of their lives, but they had to do their job and did what they were trained to do. When several officers have you surrounded with guns drawn, you do what you are told. After a 15 minute standoff, he put his hands in his pockets when he went to take them out is what was referred to as a "threatening manner" there was no choice but to shoot him. Yes it is sad, but there is no one to blame but Moore and Semenza. It it the liberal thinking around MA that likely caused this is in the first place. If Moore was the one who put him up to it, then it is a shame. This idiot has a very long record and should have been put behind bars long ago. It is this bleeding heart mentality that makes me sick. What the hell is wrong with people around here? I can't believe Moore is not in jail already dues to previous crimes and felonies, what the hell! I am not a callous asshole, and it is sad that this 20 yr old man has lost his life for $4600, but you mess around like that and this is what happens. STOP BLAMING THE POLICE!!! If people were a bit more scared of the law, maybe it would be more effective. Nowadays, you commit a crime and get a slap on the wrist...no more capital punishment, sentencing is weak, and the law is not respected. I bet you won't see another bank robbery in Mansfield for a long time, we don't mess around!

the police were not doing their job. their job is to protect people not shoot them dead. It doesn't matter how old he was he had no weapon. it doesn't matter how long he didn't lie down he had no weapon, it didn't matter how irratic he was he had no weapon. why are the police killing people for stealing from a bank? a corporation that steals our money, God forbid you write a check and it bounces by accident? bank that steals our money. charges high interest for loans and gives us low interest for using our money. Corporation people. Why are the police killing for them? why are you people condoning it? making this guy out to be a monster? it could be any one of you! you could some day loose your job and be a pay check away from being homeless. when you're desparate you do despareate things. hopefully not to the extreme where you would steal. I'm not conding robbery. but come on have some compassion for those who aren't as healthy in mind as others. Being shot dead because you wouldn't lie down?

I do not agree with "sad" comments. The police WERE doing their job and the fact of the matter is, you were not there, you do not know what happened. The suspect did say he had a gun and then reached in his pocket. They didn't shoot him for robbing a bank, this isn't a killing for that. This suspect was high on herion and telling the police he had a gun and reaching in a threatening manner, near a day care nonetheless. I am not saying this person is a bad person, i do not know him. But the situation was very bad and the outcome is horrible but it is justified. You cannot blame the police for reacting in the correct way to a wrong situation. In the end, he didn't have a weapon, but when you act irractic, rob a bank, are high on heroin and then tell the police you have a weapon, then the situation will most likely not end well.

Well, everyone seems to have an opinion and those that write as if they were there will definitley be interviewed if they have not already been interviewed. "Friend" & Nice Boys"- you apparently know more than the police...or perhaps you are the police...or perhaps you robbed the bank!
