It was Halle's originally, then after they closed Dahlkemper's moved in from there store down at 54th & Peach. After Dahlkemper's left it sat empty for a while. Then Burlington moved in.
Dave Hallman had a small showroom inside the mall right by the Halle/Dahlkemper/Burlington entrance.
I think there was an Elby's in the mall at one time too.
Also, Horne's was orignally the Boston Store before they got bought out. Then it became Lazarus, now it's Bon-Ton. Also, Macy's was originally Kaufmannn's.
Also, there was a movie theater where FYE is now.

1.Proving Ground. I only remember because I had a crush on a guy who worked there, and used to walk by the store about 20 times per Mall visit to 'window shop'. ;)
I liked funky clothes!

what was the name of the bakery that used to be there? It was located just to the left of the Serta Mattress store now? I remember my mom would always stop in there and get a loaf of bread and I got a big chocolate chip cookie!
