Very disappointed in this years Riverfest. They did not have more children's rides this year as we had heard. They need to add more children's rides, and have more things going on. The parade was not even as good as past years. We left much earlier than we have before as we found it not bigger and better but 'less' and boring. There were only 3 rides my grandchildren went on - the moon bounce which they always loved but only went on this once, a climbing gym and boats, cars, etc little ride which they only went on 3 times. They are 4 and 6 yrs old. I guess that is good as there were only FOUR rides there. Only 1 ride for older children. Very poor.

I would like more information about the River Fest in Charlestown, MD. I spent a lot of time there with my Grandfather, Tommie Clayton, who was born in Charlestown along with my father Albert Clayton. My Great Grandfather, William Evans Jackson also live in Charlestown. Though there probably aren't many old-timers left who would remember any of them, it would be great to visit with my son Tommie and my Grand kids. I love it there, staying at Grandaddy's...
I remember slipping around the fence from the old Murphy's Beach to the Holloway Side to fish for white perch in the spring. From what I understand you almost can't get to the river anymore!!
If anyone knows when the next River Fest is being held, please e-mail me: [email protected]
Regards,
Bill Clayton
