Yes it was vandalism but not exactly the same as smashing up something for fun.
I daresay many folks would have been tempted to leave their mark in some wet concrete....

From the newspaper report it sounds like the Corbin police "grilled" them hard. Give me a break... not like they are bootleggers...

And as Mike says above what is the deal with the Corbin police speeding? I see them speeding at all times without their light bars on? Saw one go down Ky Ave the other day at 35 - limit 25!

They absolutely were not bootleggers, and they were not treated as such. They actually went after these kids and got them.

I actually kind of have to laugh at this. They put the pressure on and the little girl started to crack. WOW the Corbin Police made a 12 year old girl crack and spill the beans. Good job! They must have really broke a sweat out on that!! Give me a break, little kids being kids, what kid wouldn't play in wet cement? I am soooo glad my tax dollars got these hardened criminals off the streets. GO CORBIN POLICE DEPARTMENT!! by the way where is this spot????

Another classic example of what our tax dollars are paying cpd to do. Fact is our local police force is scared of real criminals and we, as a community, should be outraged. I wonder how many police cruisers responded to this crime. I'm guessing at least 4 or 5. Way to go CPD. A few more hardened criminals off the streets!

Yes Mike respect for others. Do you realize that your tax dollars will probably now pay to have the concrete filled in? They need to learn rules today so they don't become future deadbeats!

Do you not know journalism when you read it? Do you really think the CPD was waterboarding these kids? This is what is wrong with our society today. Too many adults whine and cry when their kids do something wrong and are held accountable.

the concrete was still wet and was fixed on the spot. tax dollars are wasted by cpd patrolling young girls houses and speeding everywhere they go ( higher speed = more gas and more needed engine repairs ) tax dollars are wasted on the hill behind applebees. stupid ass downtown beautification, free event tickets, paid for vacations ( travel ) personal errands done on city time. i would like to see some names in the sidewalk. they could have shown their kids. i believe it should be mandatory. all new sidewalks should have the kids name in them. make it a law. like a walk of future fame. uuuuuhhhhh you are stupid. hence the name , uuuuuhhhhhh. just needs a d at the start. dduuuuuuhhhhhhhh.

Don't try to dramatize this and feel like you've made a point because you didn't.
How 'bout this? Don't matter one way or the other that the concrete was wet. Don't matter one way or the other that it was still wet and was easily fixed. The thing is is that the kids had no business even touching the wet concrete. It wasn't on their property. If their daddy wants to pour some concrete and then let the kids run through it and write their initials, then I say go for it. I'd say if that had been the case, he probably would have whipped their ass too.
I don't give a crap what the kids did but they should have known their boundaries.

I witnessed this happening, these kids meant nothing by it. I know the "criminals" (if you can even call them that) on a personal level. If they thought it was going to stir up trouble they wouldn't have even had the idea to touch it. You can walk down any city sidewalk and see handprints in it. Not to mention there was only one thing surronding the wet cement and that was a barcade that was by the road, someone could have easily just walked through it without even noticing. Actually your not even supposed to leave wet cement it can be hazardous. I know these kids wern't in the right either I'm not trying to defend them but they wern't informed well enough to even know it was illeagal. This town is full of dead beats and call our cops have to do is arrest a group of best friends for no reason? Thats bull shit. They also wern't treated as I think they should have been and wern't told there charges or rights before they were at the station, they have not be full grown adults but they deserve to know whats going on. When Corbin gets some real police officers let me know, until then were not safe. Unless you want to run from teenage girls sticking there fingers in concrete, real dangerous right?

This is bull crap, I mean seriously. They were not aware that putting their hands in wet concrete was illegal. If they were aware of that I know for a fact they wouldnt have done it. And making one of the girls cry? Thats just retarded. WAY TO GO! OUR POLICE MAKE LITTLE GIRLS CRY! They need to find something better to do. But yeah, it was wrong, and I'm sure that they got what they deserve for what they did. But they also don't need to leave the concrete alone with nothing to keep people out of it. You can go anywhere and see handprints in concrete. How are they supposed to know its wrong? Great job cathing those "criminals". Seriously, go bust some drug dealers or something.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Leo

If you ask someone to give you a hand today, don't be surprised if they make a mess of it. That's probably because their mind isn't on the job, but it might also be because your instructions aren't as clear as usual. So before you get angry, check that what you said made sense. Relations with someone older or more influential than you could also be blighted by confusion or doubt now.
