I call bull shit. That place will never get off the ground. How about instead of closing the 3 additional schools at the end of the year, you use the Marion rebuild money to keep them schools open. How in the hell do you close 5 schools in one town and no one is saying anything about it? Sad that the liquor stores outnumber the schools. Sad there still isn't a grocery store or a pharmacy. It's sad that people in North Chicago are afraid to speak up because they worry about police retaliation. Where are all those kids going to go to school? Overcrowding leads to trouble. There's hardly any bus service already. Did you all know that South, Greenbay, and AJ are all closing at the end of June? Add them to Novak and Hart. Another police chief coming in May 1st as well. I wish the state police would just come in and clean house already. Enough is enough.

Everyone sitting on that village board should be ashamed of themselves. How dare you hold town meetings and give off the portrayal that you all have the best interest of the community in mind. I'm eventually going to lose it and FOIA every single one of your personal expenses and accounts with village and where every dime has gone over the past 8 years. It surely didn't go towards road repairs or snow removal. That snow covered the sidewalks going to the school for almost two months and those kids had to walk in the streets. Seriously?. I will also dig very deep on all of your backgrounds and your associates and inform the community of my findings on who they have representing them, if you have any arrest trust me I will find it even if your remarried under a new name. I already have enough to get half that board thrown off. You all better come to a solution about those schools and it better happen quick. Regardless if the state took over or not, there needs to be a solution. These children need to be in school not roaming the streets next year because they can't get to school. These citizens in North Chicago have it rough as it is yet we have a board that's doing absolutely nothing to change the cycle. I will never forget where I came from and North Chicago will always be a part of my life, now that I at least work in North Chicago I can some what get a better idea of what's been going on. I am a very resourceful person and I sincerely hope that if anyone is reading this you advise village hall to this forum. As the great Whitney once said " I believe the children are out future, teach them well and let them lead the way " The children of North Chicago won't stand a chance if you allow those 3 schools to close. Break the cycle. PLEASE I BEG YOU. oh p.s. russ I'm not giving you the exclusive and if you drop my name I'll come after that newspaper of yours. Remember when I called you in 2010 and tried telling you there was fraud going on in the Department? You blew me off. Then you asked me never to contact you again with ANY news tips. Emails leave a paper trail. God Bless North Chicago ( the forgotten city )

$37 Million would sure help those kids stay in school. Hey Fire didn't they try to close the high school at one point also?

Ok I will not confirm nor deny that report Section 8. But from what is commonly known as gossip sometimes stretches the factual basis of a situation. The way it really happened is this, there is some truth and some fiction to the extent of what took place. It was being fielded and the high school was set to be closed but they had to " fine tune " quite a few things first. They were in discussions with a high school in which I will not name ( but will throw a clue and say a student's necklace at that school probably costs more than a year's salary of the average household in North Chicago ) about the closure and then the demise of the students who would choose not to attend and the transferring and transportation of students to the new location with there being a cap on freshman coming in. Well guess what happened? Those talks stalled almost immediately because the other school wanted no part of North Chicago students and ponied up the MONEY to keep NCHS open. Anyone that wishes to dispute this by all means reply and I will post a copy of the check they wrote. So yea they tried to close it and failed.

Oh wow I guess stereotypical people and racism still exists. Pretty soon the only thing that's going to be left in North Chicago is bullet ridden boarded up houses and buildings, a corrupt police force, all those liquor stores you say we have and the Mobil on MLK and Lewis. Those guys aren't going nowhere, they run that corner and been there forever. They're the coolest arabs I've ever met. Do you have a # I can call you at FIRE?

I do but will not give it out in the forum. I will list the liquor stores and distances between them later. I am currently being the little rascals ready for the bus. Hey if you live in North Chicago you should round up some of your people and go to village hall and recommend they promote Sgt. Corey Marquardt to chief on May 1st. You guys may not know him and yes he's white but he is a class act guy that I believe can make HUGE changes and strides. I normally would never vogue for anyone but I go against my beliefs in this particular situation. Can you remember the last time a white man was at the helm in North Chicago? He's a good guy everyone and North Chicago should really consider this especially with his military background. Choosing someone black doesn't sit well with the community. It actually makes no sense. They keep choosing black chiefs because they think the community will approve more than a white dude. Do your homework people.

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention YES section 8 your description of North Chicago in the future is a huge possibility. Change has to start from within. The code that these officers have amongst each other needs to cease. No more corruption.

They aren't closing AJ Katzenmaier yet little homies but I'm sure it will get chopped eventually. I guess that's what happens when you have a dumb bitch looting the school fund for years. I don't think anyone will really know the REAL amount she stole. That crooked ass police chief had his hand in the chicken coop as well. Leon handle your functions son, try something different this time when you appoint the new chief because you looking like a clown the past couple times and I don't think you'll make the cut if it happens again. Plus some of your officers are still Terry stopping people and I heard someone has video footage of a stop where your officer said that " I don't need a reason to pull you over, this is my town, everyone is suspect " in those exact words.
