The democrats have always had an unfair advantage when it comes to voting.Even in the old south, they(democrats) tried to hold on to their advantage by suppressing the black voters. Now that the democrats own the black vote thanks to LBJ,who said "I'll have those chiggers voting democrat for next 200 years"(those were his words, look it up)they are counting on them to keep democrats in power. In order to do that they need to vote at least twice without being questioned.Racism continues to be alive and well in the democrat party but that fact has somehow got lost in history. The democrats imposed "Jim Crow",defended the right to own slaves, turned the firehoses& police dogs onto black citizens, and many were 'klansmen'.They would love for you to think that these atrocities were committed by republicans and some are accusing our new governor of re-instating 'Jim Crow'.Can you believe that? The first non-white and first female ever e-lected governor of this state.Republicans can't sit silently, and allow these kind of race bombs be thrown. You need to put the truth out there,or the lies will just continue. The voter ID law was a good move, but I do beleive it will be overturned by another rogue court.

In the event S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley decides to honor her brain-dead promise to drive any South Carolinian without a photo ID to the Department of Motor Vehicles to pick one up, she’ll likely find herself assisting more white than black voters.
Per the SCGOP’s new minority disenfranchisement … err, voter ID law, anyone wishing to cast a ballot in South Carolina must present a valid form of photo identification at the polls.
Democrats have decried the new legislation as racist – arguing (correctly) that it was designed to suppress minority turnout in future elections. In an ill-advised effort to defend the measure, Haley recently told FOX Carolina (one of the few local affiliates that she doesn’t consider to be a “tabloid” site) that she would personally drive any citizen who felt discriminated against to the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) so that they could pick up their shiny new taxpayer-funded ID cards.
“Find me those people who think that this is invading their rights — find — and I will go take them to the DMV myself and help them get that picture ID,” Haley said in the interview.
Needless to say, she’s not doing that … although two recent revelations might convince her to rethink this particular broken promise.
First of all, it turns out that Haley is white (yeah … who knew).
Second, it would appear that nearly two-thirds of the would-be disenfranchised voters in South Carolina are also white.
Wait … what?
According to the S.C. Election Commission, of the estimated 178,000 voting age South Carolinians who currently lack a photo ID – 114,000 of them are white. Only 63,000 are minorities. Obviously that makes sense in a state where roughly 70 percent of the population is white (and 69 percent is “white trash”), but our guess is that this statistic wasn’t widely available to our Bubba Legislature when it passed the voter ID law in the first place.

Reacting to the historic downgrade of the federal government’s credit rating by Standard and Poor’s, the U.S. stock market took another major beating on Monday.
The Dow Jones industrial average plunged by 635 points – losing 5.5 percent of its total value and falling below 11,000 for the first time in nine months. Meanwhile the NASDAQ shed 175 points (or 6.9 percent of its value) and the S&P 500 lost nearly 80 points (or 6.7 percent of its value).
Stocks have been battered in the aftermath of the “debt deal” reached by Washington politicians a week ago – although Monday’s drop in response to the S&P downgrade was the biggest single-day decline in nearly three years.
After his administration spent the weekend attacking Standard and Poor’s, U.S. President Barack Obama adopted a more conciliatory tone on Monday.
“The fact is we didn’t need a rating agency to tell us we need a balanced, long-term approach to deficit reduction: That was true last week, that was true last year, that was true the day I took office,” Obama said.“And we didn’t need a rating agency to tell us that the gridlock in Washington over the last several months has not been constructive to say the least.”
Wait …“gridlock?” Obama got the deal he wanted before the deadline – with House Speaker John Boehner and a majority of Republicans in the House and Senate supporting a debt hike that included virtually no immediate cuts, no long-term caps on government growth and no balanced budget requirement.
There was no gridlock, people … the GOP caved.
Also, it was pretty funny to hear Obama – who refused to offer anything even resembling a plan during the debt debate – talk about the need for a “long-term approach to deficit reduction.”
Even more troubling? Obama continues to believe that the elixir to our nation’s fiscal ills are tax increases on job creators and “modest adjustments” to government’s ballooning entitlement programs.
“What we need to do now is combine those spending cuts with two additional steps: tax reform that will ask those who can afford it to pay their fair share, and modest adjustments to health care programs like Medicare,” Obama said.

How does requiring I.D. at poles inhibit democracy if an I.D. is free? I know someone said that it has to do with African Americans not being able to get to poles, but that doesn't really have anything to do with I.D., right? Didn't they still have to get there before?

I think that everyone should carry I.D., at the very least so that their blood type can be identified, and their family members notified promptly, in the event of an accident.

It's just gives simians something else to whine about. They're given housing, food, medical care, and even a cell phone for free. They're a pitiful bunch actually.
