Company has a revolving door. If you work there, you probably wont be for long.

Don't worry, Anyone who works there knows new people are hired every week, they just expanded but as of Friday -- June 5th, 2009, They laid many, many people off. I was one of them but they can hire someone new every Monday? Yeah.. Right.

Whoever said they LIKE Synter, then you obviously haven't become a product of their "Hire/rehire" game. I feel for you.

The ex-employees are either part of the economy that everyone is facing or in fact they couldn't do their job properly. Yes Synter was hiring every week because the company was growing but that is what happens when your clients don't send you the business anymore and there isn't enough work. What the ex-employee didn't say was that Synter was nice enough to give them a severance check and a letter to give to the unemployment agency so they could get their benefits right away. What other company would do that?-

What you forgot to say is that they tacked that severance check onto the last paycheck so it was actually taxed and only came out to be about 200-300 bucks instead of the 500 that it was supposed to be. Yeah, thats really nice of that. What other company would do that?

isn't it amazing how people blame their own failing on a company?

You can come to work everyday and still do a bad job. Employee of the month, you can do a great job for one month and then fall short the other months. This is also moral booster. For whatever company you work for you should be faithful and do a 110% everyday not when you feel like it. Just because you hit bonus doesn't also mean your doing everything correctly. There are ways to play the system and maybe you did play the system and got caught.

I wasn't one of the people I referenced in that post. I am not a co worker of yours. The employee of the month was named so the same month they got layed off. No time to fall short there. I'm not talking about the people that just slid by and only did just enough. I'm talking about the people that had been there for YEARS, had great evaluations, etc. People that had proven themselves and had given 110% plus to the company. Only to have the person that had been there maybe a week and not proven anything yet get to keep their job. These are the people that got shafted.

for the person who is or was not employed here, did this person take into consideration how many times they were late or did not come to work..You can still give 110% but never show up to work. All the employees who were laid off or were fired, quit your whining and get a life.

The fact IS that many people have left this company because of the way they do things. the rules change constantly. If your sticking up for synter then good luck to you because you are not the exception. they will dispose of you if need be and could have nothing really to do with your performance. its a place of gossip and negativity. even kate in human resources who had been there since the beginning left. what does that tell you?

Synter is so unorginized it's not just appalling... it is sad.Management needs thorough training, and even if management is not congnisant of the standard treatment and tempermate needed for "dealing" with subordinates (employees), immediate training is necessary. It's not plausible for someone to have any loyalty to a company that conducts business and internal issues in the manner that Synter does. I never had any negative comments or feedback but was let go;fortunately,I have discussed the manner with employees still employed and there have been no meaningful changes. It was difficult to work in a sporadic enviornment!! I just hate the fact that I was blindsitted.

This is not true...you can have good KPI and ask for help and be promised the help along with a transfer, and then find out that you are DONE! Then Synter will lie to unployment to try to cover themselves for wrong doing!!!! Managers are allowed to lie and cheat, and still have their jobs. Sorry that some of your employees are better than the managers, but that is not a reason to fire someone. Get over yourselves!!!

I was employed by Synture a year ago. The Company at that time was Cool. I was interviewed by Kate went through the traning just fine. I enjoyed working side by side with the agent while I was in training - The method that I was being taught - just wasn't who I was - I was hoping to be placed in First team - just calling the companies or sending out letter -(the nice part) when I was placed on the floor - There was no way I was going to survive - I regretably went to Kate and explained that the position that have been chosen for me; did not fit my personality and who I was - I would not be able to turn off the method by the time I reached home - you know the saying work is work and home is home - never take the other with you - you know it's like never take the ants to the picinic. I liked the location, The receptionist was very nice and polite - I will go on record to say that If I had the guts I probably would still be working at Synter - however No Guts No glory - I wish all the employee there GOOD LUCK --- It's a good Company in all truths

FYI to all this company is a hack job from the ground up. Claiming to be representatives for freight carriers and never teach you a thing about it. Sure they tell you some a few quick definitions but you will never know what they mean. If your good at your job you are blowing through the business they have they count on you to be a little stupid they want the biz unresolved the harder it looks to the client the more they think they need them. No Integrity!!! This is by far the worst Job I have ever had and would warn anyone looking for a job there don’t and if you do you will see! From day one they will be building a case against you. Why? So they can rid of you when they need to down size they are on a roller coaster with work and don’t know if they will have it. Just remember a call you make today that is perfect will get you written up next week trust me they will find a way!

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Capricorn

Mercury retrograde in your sign will cause some friction between you and other people during coming weeks. Matters that have been bubbling away in the background will come to the boil, forcing you to do something about them. Try not to overreact, nor to create a crisis out of something that's really very minor. You should also keep a strong sense of fair play and pay attention to every little detail.
