You really didn't expect the noddle ladies to make any Italian Ethnic foods, did you??????????
As it's been from the start, all one sided, HUNKIE ONLY; their church, their food, their WAY.
When you lie your way into the confidence of the priest, you can get your way wwith anything. One poor person was being blamed for telling tales out of the rectory. WRONG PERSON ! But, when you set yourself up to believe one or two people then you turn on the very ones who have been loyal and would be loyal. This priest is going to learn. He's being lied to. And sadly he is believing the lies. He is being made promises by the same ones as the former priest. Look where that got him. NOTHING will change until the person making the promises can NO longer produce. I must go back and look up some reference material. I could have sworn Assisi was in ITALY ! Must have moved it since the St. Francis of Assisi is ALL about HUNKY foods ! It may appear ICC has gotten its way and the noodle people with it but let's see what happens in the end !

What ethnic slur shall we use to describe the good hearted Catholic people of OLMC ???????
We have already been called names with plenty of ethnic slurs, Gineys & Wops are just a few. We have been made fun of & called unkind names; we have been laughed at right in our faces at mass. Do not cry about being called a Hunkie that was kind. I have a few choice names I could call all of you!

And yes we all are good hearted Catholics who were devoted to our church and our traditions, some that lasted 75 years! But your Jealousy and inferiority complexes kicked in .You may think you have won the battle but the war is not over. We are stronger now than ever before. We will fight this till the end. We want what is rightfully ours, what we worked for & what we have earned! How dare you come on here and cry because we called you a HUNKIE. Your 3-day festival was reduced to a food take out! Our appeal committee has raised more money in a few short months than you ever did selling those godforsaken noodles!!

When you realize exactly WHO these people are you will know the "rules" they play by. They can say and do whatever and you are expected NOT to get upset or retaliate. Don't you know how perfect THEY THINK THEY ARE ? They can do no wrong. Everyone else is wrong but not them. But they cry "foul" when they are confronted with their actions and deeds. They can name call. They can lie. They can deceive. But do NOT call them on it. They truly believe they are special. Special ain't the word. Let them cry. That's what they do best, after attacking everyone else who isn't a part of them. And of course they do this all in the name of Christianity ! Saints they think they are. Saints they ain't !

There have been ethnic slurs against OLMC parishioners on here and in public since this TRAVESTY started. I tell it like it is.
If you don't like the heat get out of the BLOG.
If the festival is for all 3 combined parishes, why just HUNKIE ethnic food?? Why not some good IRISH & ITALIAN dishes, don't the people from these parishes count??? You don't have to answer, we already know the answer, ICC parishioners could care less.

You are correct Yahoody, Assisi is a superb hill town (Like NEW COLUMBUS) in the beautiful region of Umbria in Italy. To visitors, medieval "hill towns" are like storybook towns that time forgot; they did not develop into big cities over the centuries, but rather kept their narrow lanes, massive gates, stone buildings, and other features we find so charming.
But Assisi is much more than a pretty hill town. Thousands come to worship in Assisi's magnificent churches, and to pray to Francis of Assisi, a much-beloved saint.

St. Francis of Assisi (1182-1226), the patron saint of Italy, is affectionately called Il Poverello, the Little Poor One, because he lived and preached a life of simplicity and poverty. He did not, however, start life that way; in fact, the life of St. Francis of Assisi is "riches to rags" sort of tale.

Amazing they (the righteous ones) even would even allow the bishop to use the name of an ITALIAN SAINT.

Are they serious about a polka band being the primary form of entertainment playing on Saturday the 4th? And they're selling bellinies 3 for $5.00 to make up the missing $.

I think that this is very significant since there is a statue of St. Francis on the outside of OLMC upper right hand corner of the front doors. How about that!

That's right kennidad; we all learned that in grade school. If I'm correct some of us on here learned that from the nuns at Sacred Heart Catholic School. Oh,pardon me, they did change the name to Nesquehoning Catholic.
Oh and we called it macaroni and gravy ( the politically correct call it sauce).

I am James maranki, the former Father Maranki, and it has come to my attention that I allegedly posted certain vile and hateful comments on this blog via the screen name EX PRIEST, I have read the comments that were posted and I can honestly say that I did not post those comments. I don't know who would or who would try to involve me in this situation that you people are dealing with. Believe me, I have enough of my own stuff to deal with and the last thing I need is to come on here and expose myself in this manner. I haven't spoke with Fr. Bishop for some time and I am shocked and saddened that he would allegedly reveal facets of my personal life in the external forum. I 'm Extremely distressed and disappointed that he would reveal this externally when it was told him internally. This violates a trust that I had, and it just distressesme. I can't believe that he would do that because what was stated in the comments regarding the problems that I was having are true. Those problems are resolved and my wife and I are trying to get on with our lives. The one comment that has me most distressed is the one about the local restaurant, Truth be told, I've never been to this restaurant, although I understand that it is good. We tend to keep a quiet low profile, and to make such outlandish comments even in this forum is completely crazy.

Mr. Maranki__well you certainly have added a new twist to these blogs, to say the least. This is very sad and distressing news and only adds to the hurt and pain that has already been afflicted on innocent people during a most trying time in their lives. You are NOT the first person to be dragged into this. I was part of a visit to people who were blatantly lied about and although the post was brief was also very vile. A person was accused of posting something that they had NOTHING to do with. They have NEVER posted but because one person thinks so highly of themself they automatically thought it had to be this particular person.I KNOW the person who posted the particular comments and those comments were about something that happened a LONG time ago. But, this is how people have been acting. Lies. Vicious lies and hatred. They have NOTHING else to say to defend themselves or the decision of what church was kept. Cliff Bishop KNEW lies were being posted and obviously gave his "blessing". And sadly, Cliff Bishop did reveal those things about your private and personal life. We parishioners were asked, from the altar to even pray for you and were told that because of these personal problems would be coming to stay at the rectory. You have NO idea as to how many people have been hurt duing his stay in Nesquehoning. We remain at a loss as to WHY you were dragged into this. But it is also obvious it was someone who knows quite abit about you, your life, and the ways and workings of the church. You will be kept in our prayers and we hope you will keep us in yours as well. It is a shame that this had to happen to you and the others who were attacked and had NOTHING to do with any of this. You are wished the best.Thank you for coming on here and explaining things.

If what you say is true and we would like to believe that you are who you say you are, I feel sorry for you that someone had the nerve to drag you in to this mess created by a few people to achieve their end goal of having ICC as the church to build Saint Francis on instead of what was best for the Roman Catholic Community of Nesquehoning. As you can see on this blog that the people of OLMC and others have only posted the truth in what had happened here in the decision of the church, which you have confirm by what was said about you. Your life should have been kept private and he broke your trust, but you are not the first one this has happened too ask many parishioners what has happened to them. People have been accused for things they have never done and because of the nature of the posts it is known that they are part of Cliffy's group. I hope these are not the people who did this to you, but nothing would surprise me after the low and underhanded things that they are pulled. Unfortunately, as you know how the Diocese is run, it is a sin to let this continue knowing that the wrong decision was made with bias and prejudice ness. They talk about PRIDE that people should not have this virtue, but it sure seems that they like they have it especially when they refuse to do the right thing for the people.
