Wright said his client has no criminal history & Rutland attorney Christopher Montgomery represented Stacy Brown. He informed the court that he represented Ralph Brown a number of years ago on an unrelated matter.

HMMMMM and he was on probation so which is it does he have a criminal history or not. other people are having conflicting thought and facts about him to.
wow only a $1000.00 bail for joe and he has just about the same charges as ralph. i understand ralph is on probation but come on. i have seen people paying a $1000.00 bail for little warrents for like not appearing in court for little stuff. that seems like a very small amount for the big crime. WOW

They probably don't have room at rcj and these people have no money obviously and no brains(obviously) so the state probably doesn't think they could run off successfully even if they tried explaining the low bail. I see an opening for an appeal with this attorney who represented R. Brown and now going to represent S.Brown. No matter what he says. It is clearly a conflict of interest that should not be allowed. Ironic how Benn Cty has it's own set of rules they follow.

FIRST OF ALL THEY SHOULD ALL BE HELD 0N $25,000 BAIL AS THEY WERE ALL INVOLVED. SECOND NOT TAKING SIDE'S BUT JOE THOMAS AND STACY BROWN HAD AS MUCH TO DO WITH THE PLANNING AS ANYONE IN THIS SITUATON AS I BELIEVE THIS SO CALLED OPERATION WAS A PLOY FOR HER TO BE PREGNANT BY MISTER THOMAS AND RALPH WAS A JUST AN EXCAPE GOAT FOR THEM. I HEARD FROM A GOOD SOURCE THAT STACY TOLD RALPH AND JOE THAT SHE WAS NOT HAPPY WITH WHAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY OFFERED SO THEY BETTER DO A BETTER JOB

I'm confused... She is married to Ralph, but in a relationship with Joseph..have I got that right? Ok. To each their own I guess....
Also I agree that the 3 should have been charged with the same crime and the same amount of bail..

yeah I was scratching my head over that one myself. Why would the husband start a fire so the wife can get an operation to have a baby with another guy? Sounds like the three of them have a total IQ of 75 put together. When I first read about this I figured she was some hottie they were both trying to woo, but this broad, she's no looker, that's for sure. If they jail is full, put them in a FEMA trailer in Pownal.

Transplant,

There is unlikely a conflict of interest present here. The Vermont Rules of Professional Conduct prohibit an attorney from representing a person in a "substantially related" matter in which the attorney has represented the former client. Also, even if the matter is "substantially related" representation is not prohibited unless (1) the former client and the current client's interests are "materially adverse" and (2) the former client refuses to give consent to the attorney to represent the current client.

What a shame. My great, great grandfather, Charles McGuire, built that house. My grandmother and mother were both born there and I grew up there. That was a wonderful home and a great naborhood to grow up in.

my son and his wife had that house before these bozos-it was empty, and they fixed it up so beautiful-my son built cabinets, windowsills, ect. my grandsons were born there. it was a sweet little house, and this breaks my heart. not to mention putting your neighbors at risk-those houses are pretty close together-and your fellow firefighters' lives. i hope these three losers get the maximun sentence the law allows...and then some.
